NATHALIE’S POV

-

I noticed a lot of eyes on us, so I quickly got into Sir Calix’s car.

I perceived he placed a hand above my head, shielding it as I entered.

When he closed the passenger door, he quickly got inside and looked at me.

I remained motionless, my eyes following his next action.

As Sir Calix came closer to me, I felt the warm air from his mouth on my neck and after a while he pulled the seatbelt and put it on me.

After doing that, he smiled sweetly .

My breath hitched. Up close, Sir Calix’s handsome face, lit by a smile, was breathtakingly close—a heart-stopping view.

When he turned his face away from me to fasten his seatbelt and start the car, only then did I feel my breathing, and then I noticed the whole time he was close to me, I was holding my breath.

“You should have called me when you were coming. I would have met you, and you wouldn’t have had to wait for me.”

I suddenly turned to Sir Calix when he broke the silence inside the car.
