Kissing You Indirectly

Anna winced in her sleep that morning. The sunlight was so blinding that she hurriedly opened her eyes. And sure enough, it was morning.

"Oh my gosh, I woke up late!" Anna muttered.

Every morning, Darren would get ready for school with his nanny, then Anna would take him to school.

Anna let out a long, heavy sigh. The many problems that had arisen recently had exhausted her, especially since today she had to survey Darren's new school.

Darren had been attending the city's top international school for two years. As a wealthy woman, Anna naturally felt she could afford to provide Darren with the best education possible. But that was before Anna's savings were depleted. She was forced to transfer Darren to another school with lower tuition fees next school year.

"I'm sorry, darling. I promise I'll do whatever it takes to get you back to the best school. I just need time, darling..." Anna whispered, feeling guilty.

Just as Anna was about to get up from bed, the bedroom door opened and Jeremy entered.

"What time is it? Are you still sleeping? Get ready quickly! I'm waiting for you downstairs!"

"Get ready for what? Where are you taking me? Darren is going on a field trip today, I have to accompany him because I'm not comfortable letting Darren ride the school bus."

"Don't overdo it, Anna! Just let him ride the school bus! His friends do it too, right?"

"But ...."

"No buts, Anna! Get ready quickly because this morning, we will meet an important person."

Anna didn't have time to ask any more questions because Jeremy immediately left. Anna quickly got ready in her formal dress to go with Jeremy, but Anna insisted on taking Darren to school first, leading to an argument with Jeremy that morning.

"I'm leaving Darren with you, Miss," Anna said to Diego's teacher.

"Don't worry, ma'am. Everything is safe.

The bus is also new and clean, so there's nothing to worry about. We'll keep you updated in the group chat about the kids' activities this morning.

"Thank you, Miss. Sorry, I can't come because I suddenly have work this morning."

"It's okay, ma'am."

Anna hadn't finished talking to Darren's teacher when Jeremy had already honked the horn impatiently.

"Sorry, Miss, I'm going now. Bye, Darren, dear!" Anna waved her hand to Darren who was already sitting nicely on the bus.

"That's it, Mom!"

Darren seemed so enthusiastic that he kept laughing. Sometimes he'd play with his friends, but sometimes he'd wave back at Anna.

Anna had also left Darren's nanny in the car of a friend of Anna's, a fellow parent who was attending the event, so that the nanny could accompany Darren later.

However, Anna wouldn't stop staring at Darren on the bus. For some reason, her heart kept pounding, and she felt uneasy, even though she kept pushing those feelings away.

"You've wasted too much time, Anna! You knew we were meeting someone important, but you made us late!"

Jeremy didn't stop nagging all the way to the restaurant until they finally arrived.

"This is the last time you disobey me, Anna! Do you hear that? Finding investors for the company is more important than anything, so I don't want you to make any mistakes! We have to get this investment today, Anna!"

Anna didn't know who Jeremy was going to meet today, but Anna was fed up with Jeremy's messages all the way.

"I know what to do, Jeremy! So, let's just go in!" Anna shouted angrily.

Unaware to them, Diego was already sitting comfortably in the VIP room that morning.

When Diego was thinking about how to approach Anna again, suddenly Jeremy, Anna's husband, called him and asked to meet.

This will be Diego's first meeting with Jeremy and Diego can't wait for it.

Anna herself was still walking towards the VIP room first, but her steps stopped when she saw the figure of the young man who had greeted her at the karaoke place yesterday.

"P-Mr. Jovan?" Anna asked in disbelief.

"Good morning, Mrs. Anna! Please come in!" Jovan repeated the scene from last night again by inviting Anna in.

Anna froze with her heart beating fast, but Jeremy immediately hugged her waist affectionately from the side.

"Come on!" Jeremy invited, making Anna's steps so heavy.

"Mr. Diego? We finally meet in person!" Jeremy greeted him familiarly as he entered the room.

Diego, who had been sitting waiting, immediately smiled broadly when he saw Jeremy and Anna. Diego immediately rose from his seat and shook Jeremy's hand.

"We finally meet, Mr. Jeremy! Yesterday I met Mrs. Anna, your beautiful wife!" Diego's gaze fell directly on Anna in a way that made her body shiver.

Diego reached out his hand to Anna, but she remained silent. It wasn't until Jeremy nudged her that she accepted his hand.

"Ah, how are you, Mr. Diego?" Anna said stiffly.

Anna felt the heat spread to her face when Diego suddenly brought Anna's hand to his lips and kissed the back of her hand there.

"Nice to see you again, Mrs. Anna! But you are very lucky to have such a beautiful wife, Mr. Jeremy," Diego exclaimed provocatively.

Anna hurriedly pulled back her hand which was now so cold.

"Haha, you can do that, Mr. Diego! But sorry, we're late. We have to take our child to school first," exclaimed Jeremy, trying to show the image of a harmonious family.

Diego narrowed his eyes in disapproval of our son's words, but he still smiled and invited everyone to sit down.

Anna was so nervous that she immediately drank the water there until Anna's lipstick stuck to her glass.

Just then, Jeremy's cell phone rang.

"Ah, sorry, I have to take a call for a moment, Mr. Diego!"

"Please, Mr. Jeremy!"

Jeremy immediately left the room, leaving Anna and Diego alone, until Anna, who was tense, took another sip of her drink.

"I didn't know Jeremy made an appointment with you, Mr. Diego."

Finally Anna opened her voice with difficulty after putting her drinking glass on the table.

"He has high hopes for my investment. But are you that thirsty, Mrs. Anna? Or is the water that delicious? I'm curious to try it.

Without permission, Diego immediately grabbed Anna's glass until Anna's eyes widened in surprise.

"What are you doing? That's my glass!"

Diego spun the glass with his gaze fixed squarely on Anna's lipstick mark there.

"Didn't we not get to do it yesterday? And this will feel like kissing you indirectly," Diego exclaimed as he drank the remaining water in Anna's glass.

Diego's lips were right where Anna's lipstick was, until Anna was shocked to see it again.

Could You Be Happier? Diego quickly let go of Anna and grabbed the phone. He put the call on speakerphone and froze when he heard a child's voice. "Where is Mom? Hurry home, Mom!" Anna's eyes widened and she immediately ran to grab her phone. "Give it to me!" Diego, who was still frozen when he heard the voice of a small child calling Mama, could only remain silent and continue to stare at Anna with a questioning gaze. Diego had indeed asked his men to check on Anna and her company, but his men only reported about Anna's company and her husband, Diego had no idea that Anna had a child. "Hello, darling?" Anna said as she turned off the speaker. Anna's voice seemed to soften and her gaze warmed as she spoke on the phone. "Mama, come home quickly! Darren wants to be with Mama," whined a small child there. "Yes, honey, Mama is home now. Darren, wait for Mama, okay?" "Okay, Mama, don't take too long, okay!" "Yes dear." "Darren wants ice cream, Mama." "Want ice cream? But it's

Taste First "You're such a jerk, Mr. Diego!" Anna immediately pushed Diego roughly until Kenny immediately stood up and approached Anna. "What did you do to Mr. Diego, huh? Don't you know who he is? How dare you, Anna!" "You and he are both so rude!" Anna growled. Kenny laughed irritably at that. " "What did Mr. Diego ask for, huh? What's so hard for you to do? You should be grateful if Mr. Diego asks for company or service. In fact, I wouldn't mind if you served me too!" Kenny exclaimed disgustedly, grabbing Anna's hand. "Ahh, let go of me, Mr. Kenny!" Anna screamed as she pulled her hand away from Kenny. "Don't act so holy, Anna! You're here, right? Let's just have some fun for a while!" "No! Let go of me! Let go!" Anna screamed again. Anna glanced at Diego, as if asking him for help, but Diego remained where he was, not caring about anything. Anna was getting more and more annoyed. She used all her strength to pull herself free from Kenny, but because Kenny kept pulling

Humbled "Hey, isn't this Anna William the daughter of the esteemed Mr. William huh?" A man's voice suddenly made Anna turn her gaze away from Diego. Diego was sitting alone on a long sofa, flanked by two men with their respective partners. Anna recognized one of the men with Diego. His name is Kenny, a businessman became a victim of his father's deception . Kenny used to be one too chasing Anna, but Anna always reject it. "So the person who sold you the car is this Anna William, Mr. Diego?" Kenny exclaimed, making Anna's eyes widen. It was too much of a coincidence that Diego was going to buy Anna's car. It was too much of a coincidence and too embarrassing. "Are you short of money, huh? Poor thing! Anna William who used to be rich, is now like this." Kenny sneered. "But your family deserves it, Anna! Your father is arrogant and likes to look down on others! He thinks he's the greatest, but turns out to be nothing more than a thief! How much of my money did your father take, h

Car Buyer Anna was immediately infuriated upon hearing Diego's impudent demands. Even though Anna needs money, Anna has self-respect and Anna will not let Diego trample on her self-respect like that. "You insolent bastard! How dare you ask me something like that, Diego?" Anna scolded. "Mr. Diego!" Diego reminded him. "Be polite to me!" "Okay, Mr. Diego!" Anna repeated emphatically. "But I will never agree to your terms!" Diego raised his eyebrows. "May I know why? I agree to everything your company has asked for, and I only have one condition of my own. What's so difficult about it?" "Your terms are very immoral and I reject them! So there will be no agreement between us! Excuse me!" Anna clutched the file she was holding and she rushed out of there with her heart still beating erratically. Anna held herself back and kept her chin up arrogantly until she was sitting in her car and burst into tears there. "Oh my God! Diego! Why did I have to meet him again when I was like thi

*Serve Me Like Before* Perhaps, for the rest of her life, the person Anna never wanted to see again was her ex-husband. It wasn't that Anna hated the man, but she was too afraid of his anger and hatred for her. However, fate had brought Diego, Anna's ex-husband, to stand right before her like this. "How are you, Mrs. Anna William?" Diego's voice made Anna flinch. "D-Diego...." Anna whispered with difficulty. "Mr. Diego!" Diego corrected. "Don't forget that we're on equal footing now. Or perhaps... am I taller?" Diego grinned. Anna held her breath for a moment and Anna's expression really satisfied Diego. "Why does your expression look like you've seen a ghost, Mrs. Anna? You definitely didn't expect to see me again, right? But we actually met again." The grin grew even wider with his gaze never leaving Anna's for a moment. "So is your life happier after dumping your useless poor husband and remarrying a rich man?" "In fact, you got rid of me in a sadistic way." Anna's mind
