CHAPTER 4

Viren was driving the car to the court. He turned toward Pia who was sleeping peacefully in the car. He sighed, she must be tired because of last night. So many thoughts were running in his mind. What will be the result of this marriage? Will he become a good husband? What about his family? Will they accept Pia? What would be Kiara's reaction after knowing he married her step-sister whom she hates so much? He closed his eyes, he didn't want to think about anything else, he took the decision and now, he can't back off.

He stopped the car in front of the court, he called her name to wake her,"Pia, please wake up. We have arrived." Seeing her not moving an inch, he tried to touch her but stopped in the middle. He was confused,"Should I touch her or not?"

He paused and mentally scolded himself,"Viren, are you mad? You have done lots of things with her, more than touching." He then shook her, after two or three times, she finally woke up. She yawned, said, rubbing her eyes,"daddy, coffee."

Viren shook his head and said,"Pia, you're not at home. Please wake up, we have reached court." With a confused expression, she looked around, and she said, looking at Viren,"I need another dress. I want to wear a red saree. I will not get married in this loose and baggy dress."

"What?" Viren was looking at her with shock. He still couldn't believe his ears. She wanted to change her dress, even after everything, she was still thinking about the clothes. He thinks the way their wedding is taking place she should be sad and crying and here she is worried about her clothes. She is really different from other normal girls.

He looked at her for a few seconds. Seeing her seriousness, he said,"There was a shop I saw while coming there. I will take you there." Then he drove the car to the mall.

He parked the car in front of the showroom, and said,"Go, I am waiting for you."

"Are you not coming with me?" She asked, he shook his head and said,"No, I hate shopping. I never go shopping with anyone." Pia rolled her eyes and said,"Boring."

"Pia, I can hear you. Now, don't waste time and hurry up!" She tried to step out of the car but hissed in pain. Seeing her condition, he hurriedly stepped out of the car and rushed toward her. He said,"Let me help you." Then he held her by the waist and they walked inside the showroom.

After 15 minutes, Viren was sitting on the sofa, using his mobile while Pia was selecting saree. He raised his head, hearing Pia who was arguing with the shopkeeper over the price of a saree. A big smile appeared on his face seeing her barging, he found the way she was bargaining was cute.

He walked closer to her and said,"Pia, please we are getting late. I will talk to the shopkeeper."

She turned toward him and said,"Look at them, they are charging 10k for this simple red saree. I can't find any gold or diamond on this saree, still I'm ready to pay 4k. Not a single penny more than that."

"Sir, please make ma'am understand. This material is costly," the Shopkeeper said, tiredly.

"What material? You think I didn't have knowledge about material? I know what type of material this is, that's why I am giving you 4k for this simple plain saree." Pia replied, hearing their argument, Viren interrupted and said,"Pia, I will talk to him. Why don't you go and change? We're getting late."

"I will not give more than 4k." She said, glaring at the shopkeeper, Viren assured her, then she walked to the changing room while he turned toward the shopkeeper and said,"Make 2 bills. One for 4k and the remaining 6k." The shopkeeper sighed in relief at hearing him, and he hurriedly made the bill.

Hearing the door click, Viren turned and was mesmerized, seeing Pia who was looking breathtaking beautiful. He heard her,"How am I looking?"

"Beautiful," he said without realizing. Seeing his gaze, she felt shy. She lowered her gaze and said,"Let's go, we are getting late." He nodded and walked outside with Pia after paying the bills.

Inside the course,

Viren and Pia were looking at each other nervously. Finally, they are getting married. They were going through so many emotions which they couldn't explain with words. They both know this journey would be difficult, but they have no other option. Praying to God, Pia signed the paper.

"Congratulations, now you are both married," the Judge announced. Pia closed her eyes painfully. Now, she is Pia Viren Saxena. Her fate is sealed with a man who she barely knows and whose heart belongs to her sister. She never thought she would marry like this without her parents' blessing. She blinked her eyes to stop tears rolling through her eyes. She is not a weak girl. She had full faith in God, he must have thought well about her. That's why he chose Viren for her.

After finishing all the formalities, Viren was going to sit in the car when Pia stopped her and said,"I'm hungry." Viren looked at her for a few seconds, spending time with her. He had realized she was a little weird and unpredictable.

Viren was watching her with open mouth, she was eating her food without any stress. It felt like she ordered everything from the restaurant. Feeling someone gazing at her, she raised her head and said with a pout,"Why are you staring at me like that? If you want, you can order but don't stare at my food. I have not eaten anything since last night, and I am very tired because of last night and need energy." She stopped when she realized what she was saying. She stops at Midway and looks at Viren who was staring at her with an open mouth. They awkwardly look at each other and then divert their eyes to make their surroundings less awkward. After eating, he dropped her at home.

She was going when he said,"I will talk to my parents. I need little time. You know."

"I can understand. I also need some time. We have gone through so much." She said with a smile. He drove toward his friend Yuvraj's house as he didn't want to go home.

Yuvraj's house,

"What? So much happened in one night. Still I can't believe you got married to Kiara's sister." He said with shock, taking a pause, he said,"Viren, I was worried about you. What if she was just like how Kiara described her? You remember Kiara told her, Pia is a gold digger, jealous type girl who acts all innocent to gain attention. What will you do then? I don't want you to spoil your life. How will you manage that girl? How would you live with a girl like her?"

Viren took a deep breath and said, sadness was visible in his voice,"Pia is my responsibility now. If she is a gold digger, then I don't have any other option. I have to bear her whole life. After all, it was my mistake."

"Viren, it's not your mistake. You're the victim." Yuvraj said softly.

Viren replied to him,"No, she is not at fault. Ria tries to trap me, and she falls into the trap without any fault. And about her being a gold digger, it's okay. I have money. I can give her as much as I want. I just want her to let me live in peace." Yuvraj nodded, still feeling bad for his friend.

"When will you tell your family?" He asked, on which he replied,"Right now, I have decided not to inform them as I need some time and space."

"I am thinking about informing them after the project gets over." He further added, Yuvraj nodded. After talking to him for some time, he left for his home.
