Chapter 20 | On Time
Eden leaves the classroom, furious, as he just received a text from Jack. The loan sharks were waiting for him outside the faculty building. He can't believe how a month could pass by so fast. It's already time to pay them.
Eden runs outside and spots the black-suited men smoking in a corner. He clenches his fists and takes a deep breath to calm his anger down.
"Jack," he fakes a smile when he approaches them, "You always choose the wrong moment to show up."
Jack takes a look at his phone, "It's the first day of the month," he mumbles, "I'm on time,"
Eden rolls his eyes and takes an envelope from his backpack. "Here," he hands it to Jack, "Only two months left. I don't want to see you again after that,"
"Aw, won't you miss me?" Jack pouts, and his men start laughing. "Hot boyfriend you got, by the way," he smirks.
"Boyfriend?" Eden lifts a brow.
