LOGINWell, too bad, because it's just way too late.
I looked at Justin, who was breathing hard but still refusing to look away from Cyrus.
"What's that supposed to mean? I think maybe you just lost your senses," Cyrus said.
Cyrus's voice echoed, dark and very malicious. I believe that this day has turned out to be the most interesting day.
"I think I just heard myself. I'm not letting her go to work. She is supposed to stay here to take care of me and perform house duties as a wife," Justin spoke, and my eye twitched.
Seriously? Me, a housewife, to serve him? That was years ago. Right now, I'll do whatever I want.
"Babe, I think you should sit down. I'll make you feel better. She is not worthy of you," Vanessa added.
I looked at Mr. King. He only ate his food. What I really love about him is the way he always stayed calm under dire situations.
But Beth looked like she could destroy both me and Stonia. She'd seriously murder me and throw my casket.
Just then I heard a scratch, and I looked to my side. It was Cyrus. He stood from his chair, his plate still full, and it seemed like the only thing finished was his water.
"Don't be late," he muttered, and my eyes pierced deep into his figure as he departed. The legs of his chair scraped against marble, too loud in the quiet room.
Stonia finally spoke. "My love, don't you think maybe you are doing too much? First by giving the company to Cyrus, and now giving Lisa a job."
"Nonsense. I've never seen Lisa complain, and I feel like she really deserves to have something keeping her company," Mr. King replied.
Then he tilted his head toward me. "I feel like she and Cyrus might be a perfect team."
Every word was like music to my ears.
"But Rom—" Stonia started.
"I've never heard my son complain, so why are you complaining?" he cut her off, finally looking at his wife. "I've made my decision, and it's final. If you feel like you don't agree with it, then you might as well leave."
I secretly looked at Stonia and stuck out my tongue at her a little. It feels good to finally taunt her.
I stood from the table and walked out of the room. I also carried my bag with me. My heels clicked on the floor. One wrong step and the whole house would hear.
Cyrus had already left, meaning I'd have to grab a cab.

KING'S JEWELRIES
...An hour later.
.
The elevator felt like a countdown. Each floor closer to him. Each second closer to the moment I'd been planning for months. The cable hummed. 27… 28… 29… My reflection in the metal doors looked calm. but I wasn't.The executive floor didn't have as many people, but I just felt a bit nervous because it's my first time here. I could feel the eyes of everyone in the room, and it was a bit unsettling. A secretary glanced up, then quickly looked back at her screen. Footsteps echoed from the corridor behind me. Too close.
I get it, I'm a lady and I love attention, but then not this much.
I walked to a door. It was written: CEO and I smirked at it.
I opened the door, and f**k there he was, sitting and staring at the door as if he was expecting me.
His cologne filled my lungs. I walked in and closed the door softly. The click echoed, louder than it should have. I took a walk to his desk , I never sat down. My pulse was in my throat.
"Heard you summoned me. Is there any problem, Mr. King?" My voice was slow and really seductive.
"You're late." His voice hit me before his eyes did.
It's 8:59 AM. "I'm punctual."
"You and I know that this isn't about having a job. I know you want something more than just a job, and I don't know what you're playing, but you'll regret it," he warned.
"If I may ask, Cyrus, what are you implying? What game are you talking about?" I asked.
My eyes blinked, and I pouted.
I walked toward his chair. He just sat there and watched me as if he wanted to see what I was trying to do.
"I think we both know what we want, Cyrus. I'm only waiting for your command," I said, sitting on his lap.
But what I didn't expect was for him to hold my waist. I looked into his eyes.
FINALLY! They showed lust. I finally got to read his eyes.
He smirked darkly. "Fine then, I'll play."
The way he was holding me was as if I were really going to run.
"So is this how married women play? You just decided to come and actually cheat on your husband with his own damn brother," he whispered. His voice was low, but every word cut.
I could hear the sound of his breathing changing when I shifted. The tension was thick enough to touch. Outside the office, a phone rang once down the hall and stopped. Someone’s footsteps slowed near the door. Then moved away. Or did they?
The air in the room was thick with tension and unspoken words. The AC hummed. My own breathing sounded too loud.
But then someone ruined it, because before I could proceed, Beth's voice sounded.
She opened the door slowly, and I only grunted.
I tried to free myself from Cyrus, but he looked like he didn't budge. He looked in my eyes, and I glared at him.
"You want us to get caught?!
"Yes, wouldn't that make things more fun, kitten?
"You're messed up! Let me go or...
My voice trailed off after hearing the creak from the door.
She opened the door slowly, and I only grunted.
"Brother Cyrus, I came to see you."---
---CHAPTER 8* I WANT MY BROTHERS WIFE CYRUSMy eye twitched. Not from happiness. Not from excitement. From rage.Beth stood at my door with that smile plastered on her face. The kind of smile that haunted my nightmares.I glanced at Lisa. She looked untouched. Innocent. Like she’d never ruined my morning. Like she wasn’t the predator in the room.Damn.She loved provoking me.No woman had ever turned me on like this. Especially not my brother’s wife.Lisa walked toward the door. Beth’s glare followed her. If looks could kill, my little kitten would be dead already.“Aren’t you tired of trying to flatter everyone?” Beth snapped. “No one likes you, and no one ever will. So stop trying.”Lisa didn’t even turn around.“I don’t have to try for attention,” she replied, voice calm and cutting. “But if you’re desperate for it, I don’t mind giving you some—once you lose that ego of yours.”I smirked. So the wolf I’d been waiting years to see was finally showing her teeth.“Oh, before I forg
---CHAPTER 9 BETH’S POVA smile curled on my lips as I walked out of the gigantic glass building. The sun hit my face, warm and perfect. Today marked the start of something beautiful. With me inside that building now, Cyrus would be mine. It was only a matter of time before I got rid of Lisa somehow Permanently. The fact that she’d grown fangs lately was driving me insane. First it was the dinner stunt. Then she defied my mother’s orders like they meant nothing. And now she was Cyrus’s PA? No. I wouldn’t let it stand.Becoming the secretary was the best thing that could’ve happened to me. I’d be close to him every single day. I’d seduce him slowly, carefully, until he couldn’t see anyone but me. So what if he was my brother? It was only legal. Blood didn’t mean anything when it came to possession.Just then my driver pulled up, and I slid into the backseat of the car. Leather seats, tinted windows, and the smell of cologne and power.“Driver, take me home,” I ordered, my voice sha
CHAPTER 7 (..almost caught...)LISA'SHis words hung in the air, and that made me smirk. Isn't it touching? I mean, I actually get to see his reaction. He looks like he meant every damn word.Well, too bad, because it's just way too late.I looked at Justin, who was breathing hard but still refusing to look away from Cyrus."What's that supposed to mean? CHAPTER 6*LISA POV*His eyes shone with darkness, and that was perfect. Somehow, I liked the turn of things. He stood from his chair, and in seconds he was towering over me.He caged me in, and I must say I felt a thrill like never before.“What? Are you trying to restrain me? Huh. Are you somehow afraid?” I teased.Every word I spoke was slow, patient, and well calculated.“Fuck you, Lisa. I’m not restraining anything, Lisa. I’m only trying to be kind enough to actually save you from what I’ll do to you,” he whispered close.I could sense the devil in him.I could feel his voice, hoarse and commanding.“Who said anything about saving? We both know one thing: when I want something, I get it. And if it means having to fight for it, then so be it.”I didn’t utter a word. He let go of the wall, and I saw him get up, smirking. His eyes shone with thrill too.“Look at you, Lisa. Huh, from hiding your eyes from me, to actually facing me, and to top it all off, you even know what you want,”
CHAPTER 5CYRUSShe actually came.I heard the door before I saw her. That soft click I was already addicted to. The one that meant she wasn’t running.I didn’t turn around. Kept my back to her, staring out the study window. The estate was dark. The garden lights made the hedges look like teeth. My reflection in the glass was a stranger. Jaw tight. Knuckles white around a whiskey glass I hadn’t touched in ten minutes.“Put your phone on the desk. Now.”My voice came out low. Flat. The voice I used when I was dismantling companies and men. The voice that made CFOs forget how to breathe.I heard her inhale. Sharp. Startled.Good. She should be.“Excuse me?”Did she just say that to me ? I turned. Slow. Controlled. Every movement was a choice. She was still in the robe. Wearing slippers. Hair still damp. But her chin was up. That new defiance was back in her eyes. The one that had poured wine on me and dared me to flinch.“You heard me.” I nodded to the black glass desk. “Phone on the D
CHAPTER 4(.. He burns.._CYRUS_I left her room. I plan to teach her a lesson at my own time.Didn’t slam the door. Didn’t look back. That’s for men who need an audience. Devils leave quietly. The damage screams The latch clicked. Soft. Final. Like a verdict. My hands were fists before I even hit the hallway. Jaw locked so tight my teeth hurt. That room still clung to me. Soap. Heat. Something clean in a house built on rot. And her voice. “Oh please, teach me a lesson, Cyrus.”Christ.She said it like she meant it. Like she wanted me to call her bluff. Like she knew exactly what she was doing to me.I hated that she was right. The hallway was long and dark. Portraits of dead Hales lined the walls, all of them watching. Judging. My great-grandfather with his war medals. My grandfather with his cold eyes. My father, younger, but already carved from the same stone. I took the stairs two at a time. Needed distance. Needed air that didn’t have her name in it.My study was on the third f
