Chapter 16

“She's what?” Liam screamed out and gripped the doctor's collar. “Doctor, what did you just say?” his heart filled with despair.

Liam felt the same way when his parents died, he was left with nobody apart from a few relatives. He missed his parents day and night, and till now he still spoke of them like they were alive.

Hearing that death had snatched another person he loved, completely crushed his soul. He fell in love with Emma at first sight, to him, she was the most beautiful woman ever and despite her assumed betrayal, his feelings for her haven't changed.

“Emma!” Liam yelled, pushing the doctor aside as he ran towards the emergency ward. He barged in, only to see the room divided by a curtain.

On one side of the room was a woman lying motionless on the bed, but on the other side, another doctor was still attending to a certain person.

“That's not Emma,” Liam muttered and went to the other side to see Emma being attended to by the doctor and nurses, she hadn't been transferred
