Chapter 2

مؤلف: Moore
Lucia's POV

The next day, Pietro brought Antonia home. "The doctor said Antonia lost too much blood. She needs plenty of rest. Lucia, let her have your room."

I stared at him in disbelief. "Pietro, do you realize what you're saying? You want me to give up my room for her? She's your mistress!"

Pietro snapped, "Lucia, look at what you've become. You're acting like a lunatic! You're always tearing other women down. I've been far too lenient on you!

"Of all the rooms in the estate, yours gets the most sunlight and has the best ventilation. It's the perfect place to recover.

"You went too far and ended up hurting Antonia. All I'm asking is that you give her your room to make up for it."

Antonia quickly waved her hands, meekly refusing his offer. "No, that won't be necessary. Lucia clearly doesn't want to give up her room. Anywhere is fine with me."

The moment she finished speaking, she hissed in pain and clutched her wrist, her face twisting into a grimace.

Pietro's expression shifted. He didn't bother asking for my opinion and immediately waved to the guards behind him, saying, "Clear out the Donna's room. Now!"

More than a dozen bodyguards stormed into my room and tossed all my clothes, jewelry, and books into the hallway.

"Stop that!" I let out a shriek and rushed over. I could only watch helplessly as they trampled my belongings. It felt like my heart was being torn to pieces.

A familiar music box fell at my feet, and my expression instantly shifted.

It was the music box Pietro had specially made for our wedding—the one that played our wedding song. He had commissioned Itosia's most renowned orchestra to compose our wedding song and spent two million dollars to buy the rights to it.

I quickly bent down, but the moment I touched the box, a high heel came down on it first. It shattered with a sharp crack.

I broke down and shoved Antonia away. She stumbled and fell to the floor, and blood seeped through the gauze around her wrist again. She curled into a ball, writhing in pain.

"Ah… I didn't mean to do that. I didn't see the box there. Please don't hurt me!"

At that moment, I was on the verge of losing my mind, but I didn't miss the satisfaction flickering in Antonia's eyes.

So she had deliberately stepped on the music box.

Livid, I stormed toward her, only to be knocked to the ground a moment later.

My knees slammed against the floor, sending a searing pain through me. The wound split open again.

Pietro stepped forward and helped Antonia to her feet. He glanced down at me lying on the floor. His gaze held disappointment, along with a coldness I had never seen in him before.

I pushed through the pain and struggled to my feet. "Pietro, Antonia deliberately stepped on our music box and crushed it…"

"It's just a music box. So what if it's broken? That's no reason to hurt someone." Pietro helped Antonia away and didn't even look back at me.

I remained in a daze for a long time before slowly picking up the broken music box. I pressed the switch, but the mechanism was completely damaged. The music came out in broken, distorted notes.

What had once been our wedding song could never play in full again.

I thought that was the most humiliating day of my life since I had married Pietro.

But when the people from the Ricci residence showed up, I learned just how ruthless the mafia could be.

The fear was seared into my memory.

Not long after Pietro left, dozens of Ricci bodyguards in black uniforms forced their way into my home and dragged me back to the Ricci residence.

Once again, I found myself back in the place that had haunted me for the past five years.

But this time, there was no one to shield me.

Third-Person POVFury surged within Pietro. Without wasting a moment, he immediately sped back to his estate. Antonia had been waiting at the estate all along. She quietly let out a sigh of relief when she saw no sign of Lucia. She was secretly delighted. It would be better if Lucia disappeared from their lives forever and never returned. That way, she could secure her place as the Donna of the Ricci Famiglia. She quickly suppressed her smug satisfaction and put on a meek, obedient expression again. Seeing Pietro arrive, she hurried over to him with a coy smile and gently hooked her arm through his. "They still haven't found Lucia?"She continued, feigning concern. "She must be really upset with us. That's why she left in a fit of anger. Don't be too upset."Antonia's words instantly ignited Pietro's fury. He finally saw through her malicious, deceitful facade. Memories of everything that had happened came flooding back. Antonia had kept playing the victim and acting like

Third-Person POVPietro wasted no time and sped all the way back to his office. By then, Matteo was already waiting for him. He practically held his breath when Pietro walked in, his expression grim. Pietro strode over and grabbed Matteo by the collar, his eyes blazing with fury. "What on earth happened? Why did my Donna leave? Tell me!"As Pietro seized him, Matteo froze before shaking his head fearfully. "Don Ricci, I can't explain it. Once you watch everything, you'll understand."With that, he cautiously opened his laptop and pulled up the archived surveillance footage. The screen lit up, and the first video began playing. The video showed the first time Lucia met Antonia. The latter deliberately raised her hand and flung the wineglass to the floor. The glass shards instantly cut her wrist. But the very next moment, Antonia immediately put on a wronged expression, pinning all the blame on Lucia. Pietro fixed his gaze on the screen and clenched his fists, a cold glint f

Third-Person POVPietro stopped in his tracks, his expression darkening. His presence was menacing. He turned back to look at Leonardo, who was livid. Pietro's tone was firm, making it clear he had no intention of backing down. "Lucia's not just any woman. She's my Donna. Let me make it clear to you right now. If I can't find her, no one will have a moment's peace. Everyone in the Famiglia is going to pay for this."Pietro's words left Leonardo shaking with rage. His chest heaved as he pressed a hand against it. He was trembling all over as he stared at the stubborn Pietro, his eyes filled with disappointment and rage. "Look at what you've become! Have you forgotten that a Don is supposed to be composed and dignified? You're throwing the entire Ricci Famiglia into chaos over a woman you're already divorced from. What you're doing now is completely reckless and absurd!"Pietro's expression remained cold. Leonardo's words didn't faze him in the slightest. He looked up and swep

Third-Person POVPietro ran three red lights and sped back to the estate. His bodyguards were still interrogating the maids when he suddenly returned, startling them. But Pietro ignored them all. He raced upstairs with a grim expression and flung open the door to Lucia's room. It was completely bare, and it looked so spotless that it was as if she had never lived there. Pietro dialed Lucia's number again, but she didn't answer. He only realized that she had blocked him when he tried to message her. He kicked the chair over, seething with rage. "Damn it. How dare Lucia block me!"His voice was dangerously low. "Send everyone we have. I want Lucia found as soon as possible!"Matteo hurried over, slightly breathless. He looked troubled as he said, "Don Ricci, we need the elders' approval to mobilize all our people—""Just do as I say. I'll bear the consequences! Get on with it!" Pietro practically roared. Everyone at the estate could feel his fury.Beneath his rage, he felt a fl

Third-Person POVLucia didn't respond to Pietro's message at all, and his expression grew darker by the second. "How dare Lucia not respond to me!" Pietro hurled his phone onto the table and barked an order at the bodyguards behind him. "Go back to the estate and find her. If she refuses to come, just drag her here."He paused before adding, "Antonia said Lucia has to be there. I don't want to see her unhappy."After the bodyguards left, Antonia walked over, gathering up the hem of her wedding dress. She called out to him softly, but he didn't respond or even turn to look at her. He simply stared at his phone, his mind elsewhere.Antonia's smile froze. She had imagined that she would be the only person on his mind, especially on an important day like this. From the moment she arrived, his eyes kept drifting to his phone without him even realizing it. She forced down the uneasiness growing inside her and walked over to him."Pietro, do you need to go through the wedding sched
