Diego’s POV

“How did it go with Kamara last night?” Fernando asked as we stepped out of the car.

My lips curved up in a small smile. With Kamara, I am reminded that there is more to sexual satisfaction than orgasm. Just holding her in my arms feels like bliss. I haven’t slept that comfortably in years.

“It was great. Thanks for keeping me informed.” I muttered He gave me a funny look. “What?” I barked.

Fernando shook his head. “Nothing. Just staring.”

I ducked my head, paying him no attention. The abandoned warehouse door opened widely, the rusty smell hitting our nostrils as we entered. The light coming in from the window brightened up the large empty space. Three of my men littered the place. In the middle, tied to a chair is an offender due to die.

“Welcome boss.” The men bowed.

I grunted in response, lighting up a cigar as Aiden handed me a gun. Puffing some smokes, I used the tip of the gun to raise the battered face of Marcell.

The cold metal seemed to knock him out of hi

Diego’s POVI have to admit, I was surprised when Kamara had told me last night that she knew where Fernando was and the address turned out to be his sister’s home. In my mind, I couldn’t fathom why he would be there and that is the reason I never thought to check for him there. Halting the car in front of the house, I prepped myself for the reactions to expect. Fernando sure knows how to trap me, I just hope he was sensible enough not to divulge the cause of our fight to his sister, Sofia. Sofia is his favorite sister and the one who has been through so much regarding her health. Her condition kept them close together. Years passed and they have grown older, they are still quite tied by the waist. Sometimes their relationship annoys me. Not because it isn’t right, but I find myself getting jealous. Made me wonder what it would have been like to have a sibling I could call on and talk to whenever I pleased. However, I am aware it is not all rosy among siblings which makes me unpertu

Kamara’s POVChantelle's eyes judged me like I had grown two heads. She couldn’t even pretend not to be affected by my request. I adjusted myself a couple of times on the couch as I was feeling a bit uncomfortable. It seems the closer I get to my due date, the more weight my lower body carries. It is quite hard to process. Asking her to help reach out to Fernando and ask where he is at the moment just so Diego can resolve his differences with him appears to be a hard task for my precious friend. Not like I expected a smooth sail in the first place.“Can you say something already?” I muttered with a snort. She snorted. “What do you want me to say? You already know why I am short of words. Since when do you care about whatever it is that dickhead is going through? Maybe it is probably for the best. If they aren’t friends anymore, I might be able to consider a future between us.”I raised a brow in amusement. “So you are admitting to the fact that you and Fernando Hernandez have a thin

Diego’s POV I was wrong about Fernando. That idiot hasn’t replied to my text or called me back in one week. I have visited every place he calls home and office and he is still not available to see him. I never knew the bastard could hold that much grudge. We have had fights in the past most of which he reaches out first. This is the longest we have gone not communicating since I have known him. I hate that I am affected by him this much. The dickhead is probably somewhere living his best life. I am going to have his head when I eventually find him.“You okay?” Kamara asked next to me. Her eyes peering into mine. Squaring my shoulder, I held up a reassuring smile. “Of course. I am okay. You look beautiful.” I complimented. She stared down at herself. “I am in PJs, Diego. Is this your way of telling me to shut up?” Pushing the coffee cup aside, I leaned into the kitchen island. Letting my eyes roam her full length. She had on a bralette leaving her fresh bump out in the open with s

Diego’s POV“How is he doing?” I hear Fernando ask someone. Even though it sounds distant, I can tell there was worry in his tone. “He would be fine.” The person replied. My lashes fluttered slowly, lights hitting my eyes harshly. I winced and that got their attention. “Diego? Are you awake?” Fernando had his face close to mine bombarding my space. I grumbled, managing to ease myself up. A slight headache was brewing in my head. Squinting my eyes, I tried to figure out where I was and what had happened. We were still in the casino office. “What happened?” I asked in a coarse tone prompting Fernando to hand me a glass of water. “You passed out.” He replied. “What?” “Yes, Mr Sanchez. You really need to get help.” The other person spoke, reminding me of his presence. I turned towards him and he happened to be my doctor. “What are you doing here?” I asked, pulling off the cover that had been placed over me. My body ached like I had been carrying tons of bricks. “Is that even sup

  • Mafia Diego's Surrogate    Chapter 83

Kamara’s POVDiego was gone by the time I woke up. Despite his absence, his warmth and scent clung to me. Last night, I felt at ease in his arms. We ate together and just stayed still, not saying anything. I never knew silence could be so comforting. Sitting up with my hand on my belly, I looked around the room cluelessly. My emotions seemed to have dissolved overnight. Nothing is coming to mind at the moment. Taking a deep breath, I reached for my phone. A small smile played on my lips at the messages on it. One was from Nana. She sent a good morning text accompanied by a sunrise image. How she gets to do things like a young person would forever amuse me. The other one was Diego telling me to rest and not think about anything, assuring me he would be back as early as possible. My toes curled in excitement. Diego is doing a good job of making me quite comfortable around him. Had to shake the thoughts creeping into my mind. I can’t get carried away. Yesterday was a vulnerable moment
