“Then I don't need to regret anything either,” Alice said, as he grabbed her ankle and pulled her closer, hovering over her reclined figure on the sofa.

Her eyes were darker in colour than her usual eye colour, which puzzled him. Was he seeing things or had her eye colour actually changed?
