Sarah's POV

I lay sated in bed, refusing to allow myself to become consumed with satisfaction because I knew the danger involved in allowing myself to let go.

What was even crazier was the fact that he wasn't in bed, and he had probably gone to attend to something he considered more important than I was.

Most of the time, I tried to tell myself the truth, but most times, I fell short.

I headed towards the edge of the room, refusing to dull myself into sleep anymore. I had more than enough reasons to start thinking about my future and how to make things work instead of being subterfuged.

Vincenzo was busy handling business which I didn't resent him for, but I needed his presence.

Juliana knocked on the door.

I knew it was her because she knocked twice rather than just barging in like other people would. "Make this a routine and I'll gouge your eyes out." He threatened.

Of course, I knew that something was wrong somewhere, but I didn't want to be invested in whatever she believed
