Amaira's POV

I woke up early this morning to discover Dominic was not lying near me. He was working in the small room that was connected to the bedroom. His responsibilities have grown as the wedding day is approaching. However, his office work is as vital, so he works late at night and early in the morning. He is working relentlessly and is rarely sleeping at night. As you can tell by the dark bags beneath his eyes, this is deteriorating his health.

I took a deep breath and reached for the water as my throat was going dry, only to find that the jug was empty. I am feeling very thirsty these days and I emptied the jug at the night only.

Stretching my body and moving it from here to there, I stood up to fetch water. There was no one in the hall as I proceeded down the stairs and towards the kitchen. Have I really gotten up this early? I didn't check the time though.

Putting the thought aside, I headed straight to the kitchen, where a few maids were preparing breakfast. My stomach churn
