Amaira's POV"Especially when it is related to your father" he said. "My father?" My eyebrows squinted as I rose from my seat with full force. He nodded. "Yes, your father, Anthony Faye" "What?" I asked with my throat chocking with emotions. I took a deep breath before asking "What exactly do you mean? Do you have any information about my father?" I asked, taking a step closer to him, but he remained silent and statued to his place. My heart was now pounding in my chest as I waited for Austin to say something. I wanted to grasp his collar and force him to say something, but I restrained myself from doing so "My father's death is still a mystery, and here is the same country where he died." I said when he didn't open his mouth to tell me anything. My eyes were welling up with tears by the time I finished speaking. Call me weak or whatever you want, but when it comes to my family, I can't control my emotions."I can't tell you anything else, Amaira because I love my brother as much
Amaira's POVI woke up early the next morning since the one thought that had been running through my mind all night was of my father. I am growing restless now that I have discovered that Dominic knows something about my father. I can't sit silently until I don't know the whole truth but then again I can't ask him directly also. Dominic, as usual, was sleeping over me when I woke up. It seems like he still believes that I will run away if he didn't keep an eye on me.And I would have run away if his family hadn't shown me so much love and affection. They have treated me so wonderfully that I have forgotten what a monster Dominic is for the time being. And I am not sure what I will do if Dominic is any way connected to the incident in which my father died.Sliding out of his hold, I went directly to the bathroom to get fresh. I have to meet Austin to know the whole truth. I stepped out of the bathroom, taking a big, deep breath, to find Dominic sitting on the bed, his hair unkempt and
Ten Years Back Third Person's POVThere was a massive building on fire, and as time passed, the blaze spread, and every part of the magnification place caught fire and turned to ash. The fire enveloped it from all the sides, including the roof, windows, and door. The flames were fierce, deep red, and amber, but no one attempted to put them out. The uncontrollable smoke continued to fly high and high. With the intensity with which the building was burning, at first glance, one may think it was an accident, but it was not. And the perpetrator of the incident was also present, among the people standing around the building, taking in the sights rather than assisting the unfortunate folks. It seems like they were deaf as they were not able to hear the painful screams coming from the place that was burning so badly. The burning building was once a small orphanage, a home for many children without parents and a roof over their heads. It was their life. Mr. George Kingston, the owner of the
Third Person POVGeorge Kingston's gaze swept over all of them. He was waiting for someone to act when they heard a gunshot, which caused everyone to turn around and look in the direction of the sound.Everyone was taken aback by the person who shot George, and a gasp escaped their lips as they were least anticipating it from his side!Dominic was holding the rifle in the direction of Anthony, and George was astonished and amused to find that it was him who had shot Anthony. Anthony collapsed to the ground with a painful yell."Well done my boy!" He appreciated his son before starting to kick Anthony to death. ~~~~~~~~~Present Amaira's POVWhen I heard the door click, my head snapped up. Dominic walked into the room unexpectedly. He was going to yell at me when his ear picked up the voice from the video and his gaze was drawn to the laptop screen. What was playing on the laptop screen caught him off guard.Of course, he didn't expect me to be detecting under his nose and revealing h
Dominic's POVMy world came to a halt the moment Amaira was struck by a car. Her body flew through the air before landing on her stomach with a loud thud. Her eyes shut closed after blinking for once, her lips parted to yell but nothing came our except a silent scream. My eyes caught every detail, and everything appeared to be moving in slow motion."Amaira!" I yelled and dashed to her, but I was too late; she had already passed out before I could even reach her. Her head was surrounded by a pool of blood, her eyes were closed, and her body was limp. I was terrified looking at her in this state. I've never been more terrified in my life. Her fingers were moving slightly, implying that she is still alive which relaxed me a bit. For the time being, I have decided to suppress my anxiety and think with my intellect. I turned her body and carried her in my arms before sprinting to the hospital, constantly praying for her and our baby's life. "DOCTOR! DOCTOR! DOCTOR!" I started screaming
Amaira's POVI woke up with shooting pain in my body. I couldn't even turn around since every part of my body was in excruciating pain. I was struggling to move my left arm and when I did it an agonizing yelp left my mouth. "Amaira!" Mom dashed over to me as soon as she heard my cry. "Mom?" I asked in disbelief. I blinked, scanning the environment to confirm that I was still in the palace of Dominic. What brought her here and how did she come here? When I tried to sit up again, I let out a terrible yelp. My gaze was drawn downward, and I discovered a plaster wrapped around my left arm. She assisted me in sitting on the bed and positioned a pillow behind my back to ensure that I sat comfortably. Before I passed out, recollections of the incident flashed across my mind. I was rushing down the street blindly when I was stuck in a terrible accident and fell on the road on my stomach where I lost my consciousness. Baby? My right hand moved down to my stomach. The bump was no longer t
Amaira POVAfter Dominic left the room, my mother and the caretaker entered and assisted me in taking a lengthy and satisfying bath. I brushed my teeth and had a relaxing bath until I was not contented as I was having it after full three days. I had previously decided to use the footage against Dominic and imprison him and his father for killing my father and small kids so brutally. They fully deserve the punishment for murdering those innocent souls years ago, but I am not feeling energetic enough to fight them alone right now, but that doesn't mean I am going to spare them. They are not allowed to roam freely after taking so many lives.Lady Catherine arrived to summon us for lunch after I finished taking a bath and changing into comfortable clothing. I was not in a mood to see anyone's face or talk to them. When I refused to go down, she said that she knew I wouldn't come down if she sent the servant, so she came here herself, and she also told me that a surprise was waiting for m
Amaira's POVMy feet reached out for the ground to maintain the balance when someone grabbed them from behind, restraining them from moving unnecessarily. When I turned around, Austin was holding the hammock for me. He looked me in the eyes for a moment before moving to the other side of the hammock. I took a big breath and looked forward. I wasn't in a mood to talk to him or anyone and maybe he also understood this. He was also silent for five minutes but after that, he decided to break the silence. I believe earlier he was not getting how to initiate the conversation. "So you got to know everything about your father?" His question drew my attention to him and I tilted my head to face him. I simply nodded my head. "I know you are depressed, and even though you didn't want that baby, you blame yourself for its death. Am I correct?" I turned away from him as he asked me more questions and I wasn't in a position to answer him. I am really not sure how I feel about that baby. All I
