CHAPTER TEN

AARON'S POV

“Bye, guys.” I waved at my friends and went inside my house. Mom welcomed me with a smile and after freshening up we had a meal together.

When I came into my room and sat down to do my homework, her notebook came into view.

“Val Cruz.” I read the name and a smile plastered on my lips. I opened the notebook and went through the material.

“She was right!! She had completed the whole syllabus and even wrote the notes.” I said it in surprise.

“School isn't even halfway through the syllabus and she already learnt everything!! She's so talented.” I said.

“Who's so talented? Aaron?” Mom said as she came into the room. I looked at her with a smile.

“Tell me about that girl?” she asked.

“Mom!! What are you saying?” I asked, trying not to look so flustered at her mention.

“You're smiling a lot when you're talking about the person and boys only smile like that when they talk about their girl.” She said and sat beside me.
