Serene hugged Dante, which caught him by surprise. He was not expecting that, but he didn't push her away. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her back. He couldn't explain how he felt when he found out that Serene is in the Rivera mansion.

"Did he hurt you?" he asked again, mistaking her sudden hug.

"No" her voice cracked.

He frowned. He saw her growing up. They both changed over the years. As just a hunchman, he was not allowed to even look at the boss's daughter who was being breeding to sell to the most useful groom. He didn't care in the beginning. He had his own reasons.
