Chapter 3: This Cannot Be

I remember when I first saw Dario at the hospital. He had just been in a cage fight, and no one was there to treat him, so I did. His face did not match his bloodied fists at all; in fact, he looked so innocent, as if he couldn’t hurt a fly.

But I heard about his reputation: Dario ‘Babyface’ Dragonetti - the innocent and youngest Dragonetti brother, was also the deadliest, especially with a knife. In one evening, he took out all the soldiers at DiMarco’s mansion with a single blade and killed half of the Bratva soldiers when they invaded his home.

So no, Dario isn’t as innocent as he looks, and I am starting to see that for myself.

My brothers haven’t been in my face after I spoke to Pappa about what I did, but I knew they thought I was a spoilt brat and that my father was going easy on me. I don’t think he’s going easy on me at all; I mean, he sent me right into our enemy’s territory; how spoiled was I?

Work has thankfully kept me busier after my night with Dario, so I did
