Raven

I swoop down from the sky like a superhero—only my landing isn't so gracious. I land in a tree upside down with incredible speed, arms akimbo with black hair covering my face. Fuck, my legs won't budge. I appear stuck in a tree branch, but I can't afford to panic. Ariel released me right above the Fae camp.

Shaking away my hair from my face and blowing some to the side, I squint my eyes. A fire is crackling in the distance—blue because Fae needs to show off.
