Chapter 26: Sky - The Plan
I watched as Jax left the room before moving my attention to Mark. “Thank you.” I took his hand in mine. “Asking Jax for help must have been hard for you.”
Mark grunted. “I would do anything to keep you safe.” He kissed my forehead.
“Would you mind holding me,” I asked weakly.
The weight of the mattress moved and a second later Mark was in bed next to me. I snuggled up to go and shortly after I was asleep again. This time my sleep was peaceful. I dreamt I was a wolf and was playing around in the forest with Mark, in his wolf form.
When I opened my eyes, Mark was snoring away next to me. I gave him a gentle kiss, as not to wake him, before I got out of bed.
