CHAPTER THIRTEEN - DINNER WITH THE IN-LAWS

"How about we hold the engagement ceremony this week?" Uncle Maska asked at the dining table at Sloana's house. Alan was tired of upholding his plastic smile. It was becoming harder for him not to get angry. The food in front of him was getting cold. Partly because he was not pleased with how he was deceived into coming for the dinner. Uncle Maska had faked a health challenge and had made him leave work to come to pick him up at home. Yet here he was eating perfectly.
