Logan and Christa were out on the streets now, well, not really; they just no longer had access to the free home that Cassian’s residence provided. And Logan, in his infinite pride, had refused Christa’s idea that they return to his actual place. She had chosen to remain mute on the fact that they had to leave sooner than expected, and because of her incessant questions, Logan had to reveal that the mansion was actually his uncle’s. Surprised didn’t even begin to cover the emotions she felt.

“So, you brought us over to your uncle’s place and you felt it would be a great idea to pretend like the house was yours? And now he's so tired of you staying here that he sent his butler to tell you that he wanted you gone.” She huffed arms crossed, “Did I get it right?”

“Yeah, you just about did.” He replied lamely.

“Are you freaking kidding me?” She hissed, “We had a perfectly good house though.”

“Yes, we do but I’m not ready to go back.”
