Snow

“Cody, you never told me about my job.”

He looks up at me from his food. “Your boss is an asshole and so is your co-worker.”

“And you didn’t think to ask me first?” I raise a brow at him, gently placing down my fork.

“You don’t need a job, Snow.”

“And why not?” I narrow my eyes at him.

“Because you don’t need it. You can ask me if you need something.” He says and picks up his glass of juice.

“Don’t be ridiculous. I want to work. I want my own money, not yours. I’m not your wife or your girlfriend who can depend on your for her needs.” He smirks at me. “Cody, I’m serious. If you don’t want me snooping around because I’m idle, then I’ll have to find myself a job.”

“I’ll let you work with the Police, if you agree not to do anything stupid. You’ll be under their protection at least.” He says after deep thinking of what I said to him.

I beam at him. “Are you serious?” he nods. “Well, I wanted to work alone, but I’ll take it. Thank you so much, Cody.”
