RIVER
"D….. don't you dare come close to me." I raise my finger in an attempt to warn them but the alcohol takes effect on me and I roll my eyes back, my eyes dimming as I feel dizzy.
The guys laugh out in jest and I frown when the tall one tries to touch me, he seems to be the head of their group and he's more scarier.
He holds me arm and tower over me and as I sniff in his scent, it intoxicate my wolf and my skin begins to burn.
Everything about the rogues intoxicate me— their smell and touch. I've been battling with this allergy since I was a kid and I always have to stay indoors for the strange bruises to heal.
Mom says my wolf is extraordinary but I don't see anything so special about her.
She can't even fight back when she's been attacked and sometimes, I wonder the difference between an omega and I.
Another guy steps in and trail his finger along my skin, biting my earlobe and this time, my wolf grits in frustration.
"You smell really nice." The blonde rasps, a sinister smile dancing on his lips as he speaks.
He turns to face the tall one and asks, "what do you think is gonna happen with her? Do we ruin her at the garage over there?" He points, "or we take her to the woods?"
I can't fight their touch as I'm not really in my right senses.
I want to sleep away but I can't possibly fall asleep in their arms.
"Leave….." I pause, gulping down and hiccup, "leave me alone or I'll call the police!"
The tall one smirks, grabbing my wrist roughly as he yanks me closer to himself.
"What a miserly threat." He scoffs, "what makes you think the police would be able to save you from us?"
"No, Dan." Another bald guy among them chirps in, his eyes roaming my body and glistening with lust.
"Reaching out to the police is nice but that'd be after we're done with her. Why don't we take her away already? I can't help it anymore."
"Let her ride on your bike, Dan." He adds, "you have enough strength to hold her down if she acts out of place."
"Hmm, she seems like a tough one." Dan grins, his hand grasping my neck and I choke out for help but it doesn't take long until he a strong arm appears from nowhere and punches him on the face.
He grunts and fall to the floor. His gang watch on awe and gasp when a brooding tall guy shows up from behind.
I gasp, astounded when I set my eyes on him.
Orion Blackwood. The Top Star of the SGBC.
Why is he here?
"Y….you!"
Orion chuckles at the rouges' expression. They don't expect him to show up even as I didn't too.
"Carry that rascal of your hero…." He gestures at Dan who is groaning on the ground. "and get out of here before I give you a reason to leave the town completely."
They all shudder and pick up the wounded guy before scurrying away on their bikes.
I'm stunned at how Orion has a great effect on them. How can they fall so easily for his threat when they were proving all confident just a few minutes ago?
The place falls silent and Orion turns to look at me.
"Are you okay?" He asks, his voice etched with concern but I don't fall for his kind words and move away.
He might want to take advantage of me too. He's so good at saying words like this to make girls melt.
His shining silver eyes are locked on mine, glowing with nothing but pure perfection and this time, I remember Ryker's words.
~ Now I can be sure that I'd get shortlisted among the newbies to join the SGBC. Zoey's brother's one of the members and I can get in through him ~
~ Unlike you who's baseless and has no use to me, Zoey has shown greater potentials and she's one of the most beautiful she-wolves I've set my eyes on ~
I ball my fists in annoyance as his words poison my heart like venom.
He broke up with me just because of his obsession for the SGBC and here's his favourite biker standing right in front of me.
I swear I want to strangle him.
"You're drunk, tell me your address and I'll take you home." He moves closer and when he holds my waist, I freeze.
The burning sensation the rougues left on my skin suddenly dissipate and my body is calm again.
What kind of a guy is this? I wonder, my brows knitted together.
How can his mere touch cause a calm to me?
My wolf is curious and my heart is aching with confusion too.
Aria thuds and I clutch my chest as my heart accelerates.
"Who are you?" I mumble out a question and he flashes a puzzled expression at me.
"Now I know you're so drunk," he chuckles, "are you going to keep staring at me or allow me shield you from this chaos, milady?" He gestures a gentleman bow.
Of course, I know he's Orion Silverfang— every lady's heartthrob but definitely not me!
But something about him seems different and…. strange.
I try to sniff in his scent but only his cologne wafts in?
Why did he conceal his wolf scent? He's definitely more shady than I think.
"I don't need your help." My voice is sharp, "I can get home on my own." I roll my eyes at him and swerve him out of the way.
He doesn't argue and watches me in silence as I leave.
I bend and pick my purse and I only take two steps before my legs weaken and I fall to the floor.
I groan when I see the proud smile on Orion 's face. Argh, I lose to him.
"Are you going to take my help now, messy bun?" He raises a brow and my hand moved instinctively to my hair.
Do I really look less presentable? Why do I even care?
RIVERI wake up with a really bad headache. I kick my feet in the air angrily and grip the bedsheets tight as I sit up.Then the question hits me? How did I get home?As if on clue, Blue walks in at the same time and hands me a coffee mug.She nods at me and ushers me to gulp down the hot coffee before speaking."You were really an handful last night." Blue shakes her head gravely, "you threw up all over his body and trust me it was a real mess."I gasp, freezing when I remember last night. How I kept singing heartbreak songs as I hold unto him, my head resting on his broad and he zoooms off on his bike. But the disaster takes place when he lifts me off the bike and scoop me in his arms like a bride and….."Fuck! Fuck! Jesus." I exclaim, palming my hands through my disheveled hair."I might want to ask how he found you but no," she chuckles and shrugs, "I know he found you getting yourself wasted on the streets. Stop being hard on yourself, River, is that too much to ask?"I scoff an

RIVERIt's been three days since Ryker rejected and broke up with me. Three days of me slipping off balance and roaming the streets like a lost puppy or rather an idiot.I have never known his rejection can hit me this hard. I thought I'd be able to control it and here I am, obviously keeping every pain under control.I drag my feet against the floor, deeply in tears. My vision blurs as my tears slip away uncontrollably. That son of a gun! How dare he break my heart this way!Now I feel less of myself. I feel like I've only been used by him; he only used me as a bait to take out his frustration whenever he feels down.Did the Moon Goddess really write out fate this way? Are we only meant to be for a while and break apart like we'd never crossed part?Like everything we'd shared is nothing?I take the bottle of Hennessy to my mouth and gulp down a mouthful. The hot liquid burns my throat but I chug it down and grin like the fool I am.I have hoped it'd help me forget about the pathetic
RIVERHis words hit me like a wave and I stand frozen to a spot, my whole body numb.I chuckle dryly, trying to laugh it off but the scowl on Ryker's face tells me it was no play."What do you m….mean?" I stutter, gulping down the lump in my throat. "Don't you get it?" Zoey scoffs, rolling her eyes at me. "Ryker has found a new girlfriend — a new mate and that's me." She smiles proudly and he raises a brow at me when I look at him."This is a joke, right?" I ask, my stomach churning with a bad feeling. Is this a prank? "I know you're so daft to understand a thing, River." Ryker shakes his head with pity and moves closer to me, his eyes holding a dark glint and contempt basking under his expression. He continues, trailing a finger along my cheek. "Zoey and I have been dating for three months and now I'm going to take this ring off your finger." He takes my hand and shoves the ring off my finger roughly. "and put it on Zoey's finger." A smile dances on his lips as he slips it on his
