The door slammed shut, causing Alice and Papa Ganda to jerk in shock. Nyssa stepped in with a deep frown and heaving chest.

“Are you alright, sis?” Alice asked before Papa Ganda could.

“Until I chop his head off, I won't be fine,” she hissed. She worked on her hair as Papa Ganda spoke,

“I have never seen someone so filled with revenge that lived a long life, my child. You should take it easy.”

These words happened to fuel Nyssa's anger some more. Her eyes flickered with hate. She scoffed before turning to Alice,

“I do not want you and Papa bowing to that man again. He is not worth your respect.”

Papa Ganda's lips twitched. Nyssa was never like this. Ever since he gave her the message from the goddess, she has become a completely different person. Eyes and vision clouded with vengeance.

“So you know, tell me who to respect and who not to?” He asked. And didn't wait for her reply before adding, “My heart finds peace around him. He is not a bad man”.
