CHAPTER THRITEEN : THEM THAT SEEK

Rey and Lucius had been in the heart of the forest for 2 days but to them it only felt like a few minutes. They had no idea that their perception of time was altered.

“We need to return to the pack before nightfall”, Lucius suggested.

“You do not need to worry about that, young alpha”, Seraphina replied. “You have been gone for much longer than you think”

“What does that mean?”, Lucius asked.

“Time is much faster in this part of this forest, you have been gone for 2 days in the real world. The passage of time here is why I still look really young despite my age”, Seraphina said in a flat tone as she watched Rey and Luna shrug in disbelief, she seemed to enjoy how shocked the two were.

“That explains things a little”, Rey said. “But we do still need to leave”

“You may be correct but if you do you will not have the answer to the one big question you came here to ask. In fact, you have not even asked the question yet”, Seraphina said.
