Dani stood before him, wearing nothing at all, and Luca found that he was breathless, his heart pounding in his chest as he stared at her waiting on the edge of the lake, her long dark hair flowing down around her shoulders. He'd promised himself that he wasn't going to have sex with her until things were at least a little bit less complicated, which meant at a bare minumum one of two things needed to happen.

The first requirement that needed to be met, was that she had stopped talking about running away and that she had agreed to stay and be his Luna. He knew that the heartache of her rejection would be a dozen times worse if she did it after he had mated and marked her and so he had to try his absolute best not to give in to the hormones and natural mate pull that was telling every cell in his body to take her in his arms and have his way with her.
