Damien's POV

She stood there. Lira.

Draped in silver silk that caught every ray of light that hit it. She didn't know it , but she had taken away my peace of mind from the moment I marked her.

The drums had stopped. Only the sound of burning wood filled the air. I stood above them, where I had stood to pass judgment for decades.

Tradition demanded that a new wolf spill blood to prove their allegiance, bury their past before they could stand amongst us. It was an old law and she wasn't going to be exempted from it.

But the truth?

It was convenient. It gave me a reason to test her. I wanted to see how she would feel once she was faced with an almost impossible command from me. She was the first to taste my mark. I wanted to test the weight of the bond.

“Bring him forward,” I said, my voice cutting through the murmurs.

Two guards dragged him into the light. He was trembling, barely holding on to whatever pride he had left. He didn't look at me. Instead, he looked at Lira, hoping his sa

  • Marked by my father's enemy alpha    Lake town

The General's POV When we finally arrived, the place was dead silent. Laketown was named by the boss himself. It was never like this. It was usually full of noise and people moving about. But whenever the boss called for a meeting, the town was always cleared out.The guard drove us to the entrance and stopped there, just as I had forced him to do. The moment the truck came to a halt, two armed men stepped out of the shadows. Their armour was heavy and refined, the kind men like me could only dream of wearing.“You were told to come alone,” one of them said.“I…” I started.I didn’t get the chance to finish. One of them raised his gun and shot the guard in the head. He dropped instantly, his body hitting the ground without a sound.“Next time, you listen to instructions,” the man said calmly.“I wanted to say he’s my captive,” I snapped.“We don’t care,” the other replied. “Follow us. The boss is waiting.”We didn’t walk far before one of the guards pressed a hand against my chest, s

  • Marked by my father's enemy alpha    The General's boss

The General's POV I moved through the passageway toward the human borders on the night of the red moon. Every step sent pain up my leg, but I did not slow down. I could not afford to. I needed to get to my brother’s house quickly. There was work to be done, and I had already lost too much time. When I reached the entrance, something caught my attention. A truck sat at the corner, hidden under camouflage and leaves. I knew immediately it was not mine. That could only mean one thing. My brother was nearby, or at least his men were still within the werewolf lands.I did not hesitate. He would come back eventually. He always did. I pulled some of the leaves aside, climbed into the back of the truck, and settled in. Then I stayed still and waited.I was starting to get frustrated waiting for someone to move the truck. The hours dragged on, slow and heavy. My leg throbbed, and the air inside the truck felt tight. After a while, I heard voices outside.“The two of you,” one man said, “go in

Lord Marco's POV I sat quietly through the rest of the ceremony, keeping my face calm, keeping my breathing steady. I could not afford to let anything show. Too many eyes were watching. Too many things were already out of place, and I needed control over at least myself. That was when Divine approached me.“It’s surreal, isn’t it?” she said. Her voice caught my attention, and I turned to look at her.“It’s been a while since I’ve seen something like this,” she continued.“Yeah,” I replied. “It is.”She looked at me closely. Then she spoke again.“I’ve been watching you from where I sat,” she said. “All the phone calls you’ve been making.”My chest tightened slightly, but I did not react.“You know,” she continued, her voice lower now, “I told him that you might ruin our plans. He kept doubting me. But I can’t let anything ruin what I’ve already set into motion.”Before I could speak, before I could even fully process what she was saying, everything happened at once. She quickly moved

Lira's POV It was my first time witnessing something like this. An honourable burial. Aragon lived up to his duties and deserved every bit of it. I was surprised when Alura came forward. She knelt before Damien and pledged her sword to him. I realised that they wanted to take advantage of the burial to make Damien the Alpha again. Everyone bowed to him. And I had no choice but to do the same. It felt different this time, not like how it used to feel. When I was a gamma, I didn't hesitate to bow or keep quiet whenever he spoke. But now, I felt almost like his equal. As I bowed, I noticed Lord Marco in the corner of the yard. He wasn't paying attention to the ceremony. Instead, he was on his phone. As expected, one of the Betas approached him. I cut through the crowd to meet them before the matter escalated.“He's new here and doesn't understand the rules,” I said, cutting in. “I'll take it from here.”Lord Marco looked like he was bothered about something. And he kept his phone too

  • Marked by my father's enemy alpha    The truth will be brought to light

Lord Marco's POV No one sat down even for a minute. They were always on the move. Sam and I watched the Blackthorne wolves. Some mended swords and battle gear while others just cooked herbs for hours. It seemed like taking a break was a crime.“No wonder they are the most powerful,” Sam said, his gaze still fixed on the courtyard. He was right. Every wolf knew how to perform their duty well.In reality, watching them work was just a distraction. I was worried about the woman that just showed up out of the blues. She sat a few inches away from me. And I couldn't help but feel uneasy. My initial plan was to get to these lands, reorganize and head back home. But after she showed up, everything changed. I had to find a place where I could make a phone call. I had to warn my brother. At the very least, I wanted to tell my men to take him into hiding. The moment Damien finally uncovered the truth about his child and his connection to her, my brother would be hunted. He had a hand in it.

  • Marked by my father's enemy alpha    Honouring second-in-command

Damien's POV It didn't take long to resolve the land issues. Alura went along with my plan. It was finally time for the highlight of the meeting. “Bring her in,” Alura said, gesturing towards the guards. They brought Divine back into the chamber. I saw the look on the face of the elders. If it were up to them, they wouldn't hear her out. But it wasn't. It was about me.“Speak before the council. Why are you here?” Alura urged her.Divine turned her gaze towards me. “For the past few years, I've been rogue. Not because I was exiled, but because of Salcan,” she started. “I remember what happened. I was so close to finding out what he had done to our child,” she said, pointing at me.“That was when you disappeared suddenly and I never saw Neveah again. Salcan forced a liquid down my throat. If not for the Red moon, I wouldn't be here, speaking freely,” she finished.“That aside,” Alura stood. “What do you want us to do for you?” “My former pack, the Moonblessed pack, is now ruled by S
