I think Michael is her dad and Xavier is her stepbrother. That would explain the familiarity and teasing Xavier and her have together. Even before she knew Hector was her mate, she connected with Xavier and mentioned his looks, but not in a smitten way. This could explain the connection they feel.

I think Layla is Micheal’s niece. If she was his daughter, Xavier and Layla would smell similar and recognize her as family.
