I sweep through the crowd of people dancing on the dance floor, searching for Aubrey. I need to inform her before I leave.
But the place is just too crowded, I can't find her. Maybe I should give her a call instead, I reach out for my phone inside my purse. I dialed her number and wait for her to answer.
The phone keeps ringing for some minutes.
"Hey, girl" her overly excited voice sounds.
I hear someone breathing heavily in the background, then I hear a... Pain like sound comes from her mouth.
