Elise's POV

I don't know what possessed me to kiss him back. Maybe it was the adrenaline still coursing through my veins or maybe it was the fear that if I stopped moving, or maybe it was just him.

Ravien Drayton, the man every woman in Verya talked about. He was ruthless, dangerous and devastatingly handsome. And right now, he was kissing me.

His hands moved to my waist, pulling me closer despite the awkward angle in the car. This was wrong, but I didn't care.

"Come here," he murmured against my lips,

Before I could process what he meant, his hands were on my hips, lifting me. I gasped as he pulled me over the center console and onto his lap and my dress rode up my thighs as I straddled him.

"Better," he said.

His hands slid up my sides, and his fingers found the zipper at the back of my dress.

He pulled the dress down my shoulders, exposing my bra, and his eyes darkened even more.

"Beautiful," he whispered, before leaning in to press his lips to my collarbone.

I gasped, my hands gripping his shoulders as his mouth moved lower, trailing kisses down to the swell of my breasts.

He unhooked my bra with practiced ease, and suddenly I was half-naked in this stranger's car, and I should have been terrified or embarrassed or something other than desperately turned on.

His mouth closed over my nipple and I moaned, my head falling back.

"Sensitive," he murmured. "I like that."

His hands moved to my thighs, pushing my dress up higher until it was bunched around my waist. His fingers traced the edge of my underwear, teasing, and I squirmed on his lap.

"Ravien," I breathed, not even sure what I was asking for.

"Tell me what you want, Elise." He said as his fingers slipped beneath the lace, and I gasped.

"Is this what you want?" he asked,

"Yes," I managed to whisper.

He smiled, wicked and knowing, before his fingers found my clit. I cried out, my nails digging into his shoulders as he worked me with expert precision. His other hand tangled in my hair, pulling my mouth back to his in a kiss that swallowed my moans. His fingers moved faster and harder.

"That's it," he murmured against my lips.

The orgasm crashed over me in waves, and I kissed him again, desperate and needy, my hands moving to his belt.

"Are you sure?" he asked, even as his hips lifted to help me.

"Stop asking me that," I said, finally getting his belt undone.

"I want this and I want you.

"Then take what you want." He said

I'd been with Morris for three years. He was the only man I'd ever slept with, the only man I thought I'd ever want. But the way Ravien was looking at me right now, lmade me forget Morris ever existed.

My hands trembled and I finally managed to free him from his pants. When I wrapped my hand around him, he groaned, and the sound sent a thrill through me.

I'd never done anything like this before. Never been this bold, this reckless. But something about tonight, about almost dying, about discovering the man I loved wanted me dead, made me feel like I had nothing left to lose.

"Condom," he said, his voice rough as he reached into the glove compartment.

Of course he had condoms in his car. He was Ravien Drayton, the playboy billionaire. He probably kept them everywhere.

He handed me the small packet, and I tore it open with my teeth, trying to look more confident than I felt. My hands shook as I rolled it onto him, and I was sure he could tell I was nervous.

"Come here," he said, his hands guiding my hips up.

I positioned myself above him, suddenly very aware of what we were about to do. In a car. With a man I'd met less than an hour ago.

"We can stop," he said, and I could hear the strain in his voice.

"If you're not ready..."

"I'm ready," I interrupted.

I removed every other piece of clothing on me and sat on his bulge and when I sank in, we both groaned

God, he felt different. Bigger than Morris, stretching me in a way that made me gasp. For a moment, I couldn't move, could only adjust to the feeling of him filling me completely.

"Okay?" he asked,

I nodded, my eyes closed, taking a breath. Then I started to move.

His hands gripped my waist, guiding me, and soon we were moving together.

I threw my head back, lost in the sensation of him moving inside me.

"Ravien," I gasped, feeling that familiar tightening low in my belly.

"I'm going to..."

"Do it," he commanded, his grip on my hips tightening.

"Come for me again."

And I did. We stayed like that for a moment, both of us breathing hard, tangled together in the driver's seat..

Then I laughed as I couldn't help it. The absurdity of the situation just hit me all at once, and the laugh bubbled up before I could stop it.

"I just had sex with Ravien Drayton in a car," I said, still catching my breath.

"This is insane."

"Probably the sanest thing you've done tonight," he pointed out, pulling back to look at me. "Considering the alternative was getting stabbed by your fiancé."

The reminder of Morris made my smile fade slightly, but I didn't want to think about him right now.

"Thank you," I said softly.

"For this. For helping me forget, even if just for a moment."

"Who says we're done?" he asked, and I felt him twitch inside me, already getting hard again.

My eyes widened. "Already?"

"I have excellent stamina," he said with that infuriating smirk. "And we have all night."

Heat flooded through me at the thought, but before I could respond, a loud knock on the window made me jump.

A flashlight beam came through the fogged glass, and a voice called out,

"Hey! You can't park here! This is private property!"

Oh God. The security!

Panic replaced the haze of pleasure as I scrambled off Ravien's lap, frantically trying to pull my dress back up. My hands were shaking so badly I could barely grip the fabric. The zipper was stuck, my hair was a complete mess, and I was sure I looked exactly like what I was, a woman who'd just been caught having sex in a car.

"Sir! Ma'am! I need you to move this vehicle immediately!"

"Just a moment!" Ravien called out, sounding far more composed than I felt as he tucked himself back into his pants.

I finally managed to get my dress mostly back on, though the zipper was still undone and I was fairly certain my underwear was somewhere on the floor.

"We should go," I whispered, my face burning with embarrassment.

Ravien started the car and rolled down the window just enough to address the guard. "My apologies. We're leaving now."

I kept my eyes down as we pulled out of the parking lot, unable to look at either the guard or Ravien. What had I just done? I'd had sex with a stranger in a car and gotten caught by security

"Where are we going?" I asked when we've been driving for about five minutes.

"My place," he said. "Unless you have somewhere else you'd rather be?"

I shook my head as I was too even embarrassed to talk.

"Then you'll stay with me tonight," Ravien said.

  • Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother   Countdown

Elise’s POVThe pasta bowls sat empty between us, but neither of us moved to clear them. The silence wasn’t empty anymore. It was thick with everything we hadn’t said yet...about the photo, about the threat, and about the fact that in three days we would stand in front of a clerk and sign papers that would bind us in the eyes of the law, even if the truth between us was still a tangle of half-formed trust and unspoken want.Ravien’s phone vibrated again in his pocket. He ignored it the same way he ignored the first one. His eyes stayed on me.“You’re thinking too hard,” he said quietly.“I’m thinking exactly the right amount.” I traced the rim of my water glass with one finger. “Someone knows. About my mother. About your father. About us. And they’re watching close enough to time that message perfectly.”He nodded once. “Which means they’re either inside the family or they have someone who is.”“Your mother?”“Possible.” His jaw tightened. “But she’s not subtle. If she wanted to scar

  • Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother   Three days (2)

Ravien’s POV While she opened cabinets looking for something simple, I leaned against the island and watched her. The way she tucked her hair behind her ear. The way her fingers hesitated over the box of pasta like she was remembering something. “My mother used to make spaghetti when I was sick,” she said suddenly. “Not fancy. Just butter and parmesan. She said it fixed everything.” I didn’t know what to say to that, so I didn’t say anything. She glanced over her shoulder. “Did your mother ever cook for you?” “Evelyn?” The name tasted sour. “She hired people for that. She said the kitchen was no place for a Drayton.” Elise made a soft sound...not quite a laugh, not quite a scoff. “Figures.” She filled a pot with water, and set it on the stove. The simple domesticity of it felt obscene after everything that had happened today. I pushed off the island. “Let me.” She stepped aside without argument. I found olive oil, garlic, and dried chilli. Nothing fancy, but enough. While t

  • Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother   Three days

Ravien’s POV The elevator chime had barely faded when Elise’s phone buzzed again in her pocket. She flinched a little bit, almost imperceptible...but I caught it. The way her shoulders drew up, the quick press of her lips together. Something was wrong. Something had been wrong since the hallway outside my grandfather’s office. I crossed the room in four strides. “Who is it?” She pulled the phone out slowly, as if it might bite. The screen lit her face in cold blue. I saw the color drain from her cheeks before she could steady her expression. “Unknown,” she said. Too quickly. “Show me.” For a second I thought she would refuse. Then she turned the screen toward me. The photo first, was grainy, old, and unmistakable. Catherine Morgan walked beside my father, the younger versions of both, their fingers laced on each other like they had never planned to let go. Then the messages below. They never stopped looking. You’re next unless you walk away from him. Tonight. My blood tu

  • Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother   The weight of Names

Elise’s POVRavien didn’t let go of my hand until we reached the private elevator. The doors slid shut, sealing us inside a mirrored box that looked like it reflected every fractured piece of what we’d just become.Step-siblings.The word kept repeating in my head like a broken record, each syllable felt heavier.I stared at our joined hands in the reflection...his fingers were long and strong, mine was smaller, my knuckles white from gripping too hard. I should pull away. The contract had rules. The truth had just rewritten every single one of them. But I didn’t.Neither did he.When the elevator opened onto the underground parking level, he finally released me, but only to open the passenger door of the black SUV waiting there. Camden stood beside it, his expression was carefully blank.“Straight home, sir?” he asked.“Yes,” Ravien answered. “And clear my schedule for the rest of the day.”Camden nodded once and disappeared toward the security booth. We drove out of the garage in si

  • Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother   Shadows in the Boardroom

Elise’s POVThe boardroom doors opened with the soft hiss of mechanized air.Twenty-three pairs of eyes turned toward us as Ravien and I stepped inside. The long polished table gleamed under recessed lighting. With glasses of water on top of it. At the far end sat Maxwell Drayton, with two empty chairs on either side, clearly meant for us.I forced my spine straight. Ravien’s hand brushed my lower back...just once, it was barely there, before dropping away. The touch lasted less than a second, but it was enough to remind me I wasn’t walking into this room alone. We took our seats. The silence was suffocating. Then a silver-haired man in his late fifties cleared his throat. Victor Langston, chief financial officer. I’d memorized the names from the company directory Sophia had grudgingly emailed me this morning.“Mr. Drayton,” Victor began, addressing Ravien but looking at me, “perhaps you’d like to introduce your… fiancée to the board.”Ravien’s voice came out smooth, and practiced. “T

  • Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother   Unspoken rules 2

Ravien’s POVThe Next Morning She came out of her room at 7:45 wearing a charcoal pencil skirt and cream blouse, it was simple, elegant, and professional. Her hair was pulled into a low bun, a few strands escaping to frame her face. She looked like she belonged in boardrooms. She looked untouchable. And it pissed me off how much I wanted to touch her.“Ready?” I asked, holding the elevator door. She nodded once, her chin high. No makeup except a swipe of nude lipstick. No jewelry except that tiny gold stud in her left ear...the one she never took out. The one I noticed the first night in the car.We rode down in silence. The air between us crackled. When the doors opened in the lobby, two security guards fell into step behind us.Camden was already waiting by the car.“Morning, sir. Miss Anderson.” He handed me a tablet. “Updated agenda. Your father added a private meeting with you and Miss Anderson before the board convenes.”Of course he did.Elise’s fingers tightened around the st
