MIRABEL
"It's over!" I muttered in the realization that I had woken up late.
I was certain I set my alert to wake me up by 6:00am but somehow I overslept and woke up at 7:30am, the time I was supposed to join Giveon at the car to go to work.
My first day at work was already a mess and it was evident that Giveon was going to punish me for coming late.
The first thought that came to my mind when I woke up late was how I was going to find out where the company was. I didn't have a good relationship with my grandfather to call him and ask for some directions asking why I didn't know it already.
I left the bed after moments mentally fighting myself for waking up late although I slept early to go take my bath.
I barely used ten minutes in the bathroom before I came out to get dressed. I settled for my two-piece grey office outfit that I had prepared for today before touching my face with a little makeup as I didn't have enough time to waste.
I didn't want to arrive at the office later than normal. I went around asking the maids and guards for directions but none gave me a proper response as if they'd been told by Giveon to not tell me.
"You shouldn't have woken up late dear." I heard the voice of an old women behind me.
I turned around to look at her. She was dressed in a long brown dress and had a walking stick with her she was using to support herself. It was the first time I'd seen her but she had a smile on her face which was a little surprising.
“I didn’t mean to. And who are you?” I asked.
“I’m Miranda. I’m Giveon's nanny. I was away for some weeks but I’m back now. I heard you are his wife and I’ve been wanting to meet you. It’s nice to meet you dear.” She introduced herself.
I was surprised to see her and I was most surprised that she was nice to me. She seems to be excited to meet me.
“I’m Mirabel. You can call me Mira for short,” I said to her.
“It’s so lovely to meet you, Mirabel. It seems you are late for work and don’t know where the company is located, I will help you with that.”
“You will? Thank you so much!” I felt glad to hear that.
“Sure. Follow me,” she said a shoveled me outside of the mansion.
She called for one of the men who was standing guard in the mansion.
“Take her to the company, now will you?” She said to him.
“But Boss has instructed that we don’t help me find her way,” the man replied finally proving to me that my instincts were correct that he asked for nobody to help me.
He wasn’t lying when he said he gave me a week and I’d leave by myself because he was making it easy for him to have reasons to fire me. It wouldn’t be a bad idea if I lost the job but he was doing too much.
It was as if he could tell that I’d wake up early or he snuck into my room to turn off my alarm so I end up not waking up early.
I’ve seen lots of wicked people in this life but Giveon takes the crown. This only made me want to take action against him just as I intended to before.
“He instructed you and that’s fine. When he asks then tell him that I told you to take her to work, is that clear?” She replied.
Judging from how she spoke and how they listened to her, it was evident that she was important to Giveon and he listened to her.
“Alright then. I will go get the car,” he said before leaving.
“Thank you so much,” I said to her feeling grateful.
“You are welcome. I don’t know why he has chosen for you not to be able to go to work today but when he comes back, I'd scold him,” She said.
The man returned shortly with the car. She waved at me as I settled in the car before the driver drove off.
I arrived at the company, a skyscraper building after some minutes. I thanked the man before he drove off.
I began to feel nervous as it was past nine by the time I arrived at the company. I didn’t know the way to go or how to find Giveon. I was more worried about how he’d treat me.
I met with one of the receptionists to ask for her help and directions.
“Hi. I’m Mirabel, Giveon Jameson's new personal assistant. I was hoping you could direct me to his office,” I introduced myself to her.
“The last floor, that’s where his office is,” she answered.
“Thank you,” I said before making my way towards the elevators. I pressed the 100th floor button.
The closer I got to that floor, the more my stomach churned from worries. I didn’t know what to do or how he’d react the moment he saw me. The bell rang signaling that I had arrived at my destination and the door opened for me to step out.
I took in a deep breath and exhaled before making my way over to his office. With every step I took closer to his office, my heart scarily pounded in my chest.
Once I finally arrived at the door of his office, I forgot my manners as I didn’t knock. I opened the door to his office just as I realized I was supposed to knock but was left shocked.
I immediately regretted opening the door before knocking as on the table was a lady with blonde hair and Giveon was pounding into her from that position.
“I’m so sorry.” I voiced out before closing the doors.
My heart was hammering in my chest and my eyes widened like that of an owl. What a Monday morning, I thought to myself.
MIRABEL“Wow. A helicopter? Just like what Christian did in Fifty Shades?” I remarked, staring at the helicopter in front of me.“Yes. We are going to see the Grand Canyon. I wanted to show it to you. It’s beautiful from up there.” Giveon replied and I blushed even harder.“Emmy, this is my wife Mirable. Mirabel meets Emmy, my pilot.” Giveon introduced me to a female pilot.“Wow. A female pilot. Interesting. Nice to meet you.” I greeted, impressed that she was living her dream and I could guess that she was still in her twenties.“Thank you. I love what I do and I put in so much effort. I’m glad that Mr Jameson chose me.” She replied.Giveon led me into the helicopter. We were given headsets and life vests to wear before leaving. I was nervous since it was my first time so I clung to Giveon and soon we were in the air.I smiled as I watched the beautiful view. “You know, I have always wanted an experience like this,” I informed Giveon.“I’m glad that you like it. I just thought about
THIRD PERSON POVGiveon woke Mirabel up with a kiss on her forehead and she groaned in response. "Wake up, sleeping beauty. You have to wake up if you don’t want to be late to work," he whispered in her ear and she pushed him off lightly. "You should have thought about that when you kept me up all night long," she said in a husky voice and Giveon chuckled.“You can go late if you want to. That’s one of the perks of being my wife but knowing you, I know you don’t want that.” He replied. She sighed deeply. They spent the entire night talking and having oral sex in between. Giveon has never felt that turned on in her entire life and Giveon was just like a beast as he kept on taking her hungrily like a starved man.He confessed to loving her last night but he said it while she gave him head so she didn’t say it back. She has fallen in love with him too. “It’s still your fault.” She replied. "But you enjoyed it though," Giveon teased and Mirabel covered her face with the duvet. "L
MIRABEL“Fuck! What did I just do! What did I just do!” I cursed out, tousling my hair in anger. I didn’t know what prompted me to say that but I immediately regretted it.After I said that word to him, I ran out realizing what I had just said and how nothing made sense.“You are so stupid Mirabel. How could you say that?” I hit my head lightly, feeling stupid for what I had said.Instead of going home after work, I went over to Beauty’s place with her. I told her of all that had happened and how stupid I felt. “He apologized and then you chose to be stupid? Oh what do I do with you?” She sighed.“You know what? Instead of being here sulking, why don’t you go home and then speak to him. Instead of avoiding speaking about your feelings, speak to him about it just as he has done with you. That would be better than all of this you’ve chosen to do.” “I don’t want to hear anything. You don’t give me any excuse because my mind is already made up. You will fix the mess okay?” Beauty starte
GIVEON JAMESEON POV“So instead of going to speak to her and get to know what’s bothering her, you chose to call me out for a drink in a bar?” Joe questioned.“Another shot please.” I said to the bartender before replying to Joe. “She won’t even look at me. I don’t know what I’ve done and she wanted space. I don’t want to disrespect her and then let her get angry.” “You call that disrespect? Do you not understand women or not? She asked for space, that’s fine, you gave that to her. You should have gone to her the next day.” He explained.“That would have been easy if she didn’t avoid coming downstairs for breakfast this morning. She didn’t want to speak to me and so I had to give her the space.” I replied.“Do you think I’m okay with it? I’m not. I don’t have a choice. I couldn’t sleep last night and I waited outside of her room for her. I wanted to speak to her. But I couldn’t find the courage and I didn’t want her to be angry. It's killing me that she doesn’t want to speak to me
MIRABEL“How can I let you be when it’s obvious that something is clearly bothering you? Speak up and let me fix it. You can’t go to bed angry.”“Was it because of what Miriam said? At least speak to me. Let me know what’s happening. It’s driving me crazy that you don’t want to speak to me.” He groaned, raking his hair with his fingers.“I want to sleep.” I said once again not wanting to tell him how I felt because I didn’t even know if I wanted to make it an issue.Yes I had questions and I’m angry but I needed time and space to think and decide what it is that I wanted to do for my own sake.“Alright.” He replied, his tone lower than normal and although it was what I wanted, I felt a little bad that I did what I did. I walked away somehow hoping that he would stop me in my heart but he didn't stop me.That night, I couldn’t sleep. I was restless. I tossed and turned on the bed as I thought about how tonight played. He defended me, he did what he had to do but why didn’t he stop her
MIRABEL“Your wife is beautiful. Why didn’t we ever get to meet her soon?” “It’s because she’s not really the type of person to show herself out there.” Giveon replied. We are currently at a party for one of Giveon’s fathers old friends and also an investor in the company. “It’s nice to meet you lovely.” He said and I shook his hands. “It’s nice to meet you too.” I replied.Giveon placed his hand on the small of my back as he led me to go sit down. Just as we rested our seats, someone caught my tension. It was Miriam and she had just entered the hall. She was looking good as usual and I noticed I was the only one staring as people were also looking at her. Miriam could easily steal the attention of anyone. I tilted my head to the side to see Giveon staring at her too but unlike the others that I could easily tell were gawking at her, he wasn’t. I couldn’t read him.“What is she doing here?” I heard him mutter.I shrugged before sitting down. Giveon sat down shortly and I could tel
