MIRABEL

I wasn’t happy. Why? Because we were in the hospital almost midnight while waiting for the doctor to get back to us on the result of Miriam.

What could have possibly happened to her, I wondered and I felt a little worried because I recalled her words to me, telling me that I was partly at fault if anything happened to the baby.

“What happened to her?” Giveon asked Miram’s friend again.

He asked her never but she didn’t say anything, she was shaking.

“If you don’t say anything then I will never know so please do me a favour and also do yourself a favour and let me know what’s happening. I’m nervous as it is, so tell me.” Giveon demanded, he sounded impatient.

“We were talking and she started to feel pain in her stomach. I asked if she was fine and she said she was and suddenly she collapsed. Then there was blood dripping down her thighs and I panicked and called the ambulance.”
