Rosalie's POV

"I Knew this bitch was responsible" Sia sneered observing her surroundings. Her hands twitched at her sides next to the sheath sword beneath but this wasn't a battle we were going to win.

We were outnumbered, at least one of us had to take down 3 men each and I couldn't fight so I was already out of the equation.

“I knew we shouldn't have trusted her, how do you feel Rosalie after lying to our faces you still want behind our backs to stab us!”

I nodded in negative, my head spinning. This wasn't supposed to happen. I didn't want this to happen.

Gideon turned to look at me with his eyes holding a lot of hurt. "Did you Rosalie?" he asked and I gulped hard, unable to answer.

Was Nathan behind this?

It looked like they were ready to apprehend us from all angles. It couldn't be a coincidence.

"Rosalie tell me she is lying, tell me you didn't betray us" Giveon pleaded and I could no longer hold his gaze.

"I didn't mean to" I whispered my fist clenched by my sides. If I

  • Married To The crippled Alpha    chapter 128

Rosalia's POVI held my breath behind the curtain, I didn't bother looking at them worried she might spot me. They spoke for a few more seconds, their words drowned in the alarms blaring from the speakers. It wasn't long before I heard footsteps retreating. I peeked out, cautiously just in case and let out a sigh. They were gone. But another sound made me jump, the man on the bed… presumed to be Klaus began growling and his body began to convulse. The other man remained still which made me worried despite the fact I didn't know who he was.His head lolled forward, then snapped back as if pulled by invisible strings. The bed creaked beneath him, bolts whining.Had they done something to him. There was no way to help so I backed up, ready to bolt. But then his head turned toward me.His eyes though dazed and half-lidded locked onto mine.“Please,” he whispered, voice hoarse and barely audible over the sirens. “Help me.”I froze. How did he see me? I had been silent. I hesitated, one f

  • Married To The crippled Alpha    chapter 127

Rosalia's POV“Calm down, Rosalia,” my wolf warned within. A flood of questions wrestled in my mind making it hard to breathe. She was right. I had to pull myself together if I wanted any answers.Overthinking shouldn't be in the equation.Taking a deep breath, I stepped softly behind a shelf. Dust and the stale, woody scent of old books filled my nostrils.I nearly choked on a cough, but at the last second, I suppressed it using my hand to muffle the sound.I leaned close enough to be comfortable with the smell and through the small gap between the books, I tried to understand what my eyes were looking at.He was undeniably human. I could also tell by the blood in his veins. It had a different scent from Alpha Kincaid, a mouth-watering smell.I shook my head, my eyes fixed on them. Max stood stiffly, arms at his sides. His head dipped slightly in a nod. He didn’t look nervous or tense, he looked... obedient. That was the word that chilled me most.Judas did tell us Max had been abdu

  • Married To The crippled Alpha    chapter 126

Rosalia’s POVI didn't give much after his utterance of things, presuming everything goes well that is.Fate had a way of twisting things and making me look like a bad person all over again. With a sigh, I tried not to think much about it, the earlier euphoria of the discovery Daphne might be lying gone.In the end he had once loved her, he wanted to be with her, I might as well be the villain in the situation. They lied about the mate ties. It wasn't anything romantic and dreamy, it was a trauma link. A bond that weaved fantasy into our heads and manipulated us to want one another. Our marriage was and might always be hollow. Those moments we shared were only because of the mate bond.I was half-certain if Nathan had a choice…. If any of us had a choice we wouldn't be connected. My fingers toyed with the hem of my sleeve as Brad drove us back to the pack territory. It was easier to blame someone. But no matter how many ways I spun it, the reality was Nathan deserved better.I had not

  • Married To The crippled Alpha    Chapter 125

Chapter Nathan's POV I flipped through the stack of folders, trying to find the quarterly reports my father had requested. I didn't understand why my temples throbbed.I blinked hard, shook my head, and reached for another file, but my grip faltered. A sudden wave of dizziness hit me, quickly I braced a hand against the desk.“Enough,” I muttered under my breath, trying to shove the deceptive thoughts. But it wouldn't budge. My chest tightened, stomach turning like I'd been gut-punched.I didn't want to doubt Brad.I just wanted to make sure she was safe. I grabbed my phone then dialed his number.“What’s the status update?” I asked, barely keeping my voice steady. The spy on the other end didn’t need clarification. “She’s with Brad, Alpha. They’re in a car. They spent the night together.”My jaw clenched.“Last night?” I asked slowly, voice lowering. “Where did she sleep?”There was a pause, then, “Brad’s house, sir.”Fuck!I threw the phone with a roar before I even realized what

  • Married To The crippled Alpha    chapter 124

Rosalia's POVI burst out laughing at his reaction. “You needed to hear it too I won't lie”“You said it back?” He questioned sheepishly.“Of course I did, you are always here for me Brad, I will always love you as a friend”His lips formed a small ‘o’ before raking his hand over his face. “As a friend, yeah that's what I meant”He looked away awkwardly. JHe didn't like me seeing him vulnerable, I could tell something was bothering him but didn't know how to address it.“One day we should drink together, I'll make sure to set up a camera so we could laugh our asses later”“Hell no!” He exhaled loudly through his nose, clearly mortified. “I’m never drinking again.”I smiled, but the laughter faded as I studied his face. There was something else beneath that awkward grin. “Honestly,” I said gently, “ I felt guilty, a lot of times I don't bother to ask if you're doing fine but you always make sure I am.”“You don't have to look at it that way, a friend in need is a friend indeed”“Seems

  • Married To The crippled Alpha    chapter 122

Rosalia's POVWas that a good or a bad thing?I couldn't tell when it came to him. It didn't even matter at that moment. Goosebumps flared across my skin, his gentle touch making me shiver. We stared into each other's eyes but they were one, it was like a reflection and all I did was mark him.A dark curiosity coiled in my mind, what would happen if he did the same? The bond had already been unbearable, but it was nothing compared to what I felt now.His body was in sync with mine. If I could hear his heartbeat, I was sure it beat in the same rhythm as mine.I saw everything, could feel his breath on me and his cologne wrapped around me, leaving my senses fogged and dangerously drawn in.We were lost in our own world, the touch might’ve lasted a minute, but we recognized the fire, the yearning desire, the bond of soulmates.I didn’t know what Nathan was about to say and honestly I didn't care. His hand lingered near my cheek, then he pulled it away like I burned him. Like scissors to
