Hank thought of the York family, and then his mind shifted to his sister-in-law’s conditions. He felt like pigs would fly before Zachary was Mr. York.

Serenity was indeed beautiful, but all her other aspects were far inferior to the Stone family’s daughter. If Mr. York did not take a liking to someone like Elisa, why would he fancy Serenity instead?
