131. Else I will eat you

Roseline's POV

Before I could say anything to him or stop him, he turned his attention away from me.

"You all can take the rest of the day off," he announced with an air of generosity that seemed to surprise the helper.

"Really, sir?" the man stammered in disbelief.

Vincenzo just nodded. He couldn't contain his excitement and rushed to the kitchen to tell everyone about it.

In no time, the staff gathered their belongings, chatting excitedly amongst themselves, and began to exit the mansion, leaving me and Vincenzo alone and, of course, Rose, who probably was sleeping in her room.

"Now that we have the place to ourselves," he began, his tone playfully reminiscent of our earlier conversation, "and you brought me here with the promise of ensuring I don't miss meals. So, the ball is in your court now."

"What? What would you like to eat?" I asked him.

"You already know what I like," he said instead of answering my question.

"Lasagna?" I asked.

He nodded and his face told me that he was
