Night at the hotel room
My hands shot up clasping my head. "Ahh... My brain hurts!"
"Oh ma'a- I mean Ember, you got a brain freeze. J-Just wait here. I'll be right back." Her footsteps fade away.
"Duhmm...!" I moaned in pain when another deep voice startled me.
"What happened here?"
I looked up and found those fascinating sea-green eyes scanning me all over, hints of worry visible in between his brows.
Was Hunter King worried? For me?
"She ate a li'l too much ice cream and got a brain freeze, sir," Megan spoke, hurrying towards me and handing me a warm mug. "Here. Drink this, and you'll feel better."
Quickly I took a big sip and leaned back in relief as the hot chocolaty liquid calmed the frozen nerves inside my mouth.
