She was wearing a long, dark silk robe, her long hair falling over her shoulders. She looked completely relaxed, yet the icy aura radiating off her filled the entire room with a suffocating tension. Her dark eyes swept over the shattered glass, landed on Andrew and Kate, and finally settled on me lying on the floor.

Her face darkened, her expression turning terrifyingly furious.

She turned her gaze onto Andrew and Kate, her voice dropping into a dangerous, deadly calm.

“Go back to your rooms,” Taylor ordered, every word cut from steel. “If you keep making a scene in my house, you’re both out on the street tonight. Do I make myself clear?”

Andrew swallowed hard, his posture immediately shrinking. He knew Taylor wasn't making empty threats; she had the authority and the power to kick them out without a second thought.

“Baby, let’s go,” Andrew muttered nervously to Kate. Without waiting for her answer, he scooped Kate up into his arms and quickly carried her out of the dining room, practically running to escape Taylor’s wrath.

I watched them leave, every breath I took burning with a deep, agonising pain.

Once they were gone, the heavy silence returned. Taylor gently walked across the room, stepping over the broken glass until she reached where I was sitting on the floor.

She knelt beside me, her hands warm and firm as she gripped my shoulders.

“It’s late,” Taylor murmured, her voice softening into something surprisingly gentle. “Why aren't you eating? Why are you out here letting yourself get hurt like this?”

She looked up at the untouched food on the table, then back at me. “Have you eaten?”

I gave a faint, quiet nod.

Without another word, Taylor slid her hands under my arms and pulled me up, lifting me gently to my feet.

We were standing dangerously close now. The room felt like it was spinning slightly from the alcohol, making me dizzy, but my mind was painfully clear.

Looking at Taylor’s calm, protective face, the dam inside me finally broke. All the humiliation, the betrayal of watching my husband kiss my sister, and the overwhelming weight of five years of lies came crashing down on me at once.

“I’m so sorry, Taylor...” I sobbed, unable to hold back the flood of tears any longer.

I buried my face straight into her chest, wrapping my arms around her as a loud, ragged cry tore from my throat. I just needed to let it all out.

Taylor didn't pull away. She wrapped her arms around me, holding me firmly against her body while one of her hands gently patted the back of my head.

“It’s okay,” Taylor whispered softly near my ear. “Stop crying. You’re safe now.”

I cried until my lungs burned and my throat felt raw. When I finally managed to pull my face back from her chest, I gasped in horror. The front of her silk robe was completely soaked with my tears and smudged mascara.

“I... I’m so sorry!” I stammered out, my hands trembling as I frantically reached out, carelessly rubbing my hands over her chest to try and dry the wet fabric. “I soaked your clothes... I... I didn't mean to...”

Taylor didn't stop my hands. She stood entirely still, her dark eyes tracking my frantic movements with an intensity that made my heart leap into my throat.

Before I could apologise again, Taylor grabbed my wrists in one swift motion. She pulled my hands down and yanked me forward so hard that I stumbled, my chest slamming directly against hers once more.

Our bodies pressed tightly together, her warmth seeping straight through my clothes.

She reached up with one hand, her fingers gently threading through my hair, tilting my face up so I had no choice but to look at her.

“So tell me, Sophia...” Taylor murmured; her voice was low, velvet purr that vibrated against my chest. “Who is your husband?”

I stared into her dark, mesmerising eyes, completely spellbound.

“You...” I whispered, my voice raspy from crying. “Taylor... you’re my husband.”

A slow, gorgeous smile spread across Taylor’s lips, full of dark satisfaction.

“Then tell me,” she whispered, leaning in closer until her lips were brushing against mine. “Next time... are you ever going to cry over another man again?”

“No...” I breathed out, shaking my head slightly against her touch. “No... never.”

Taylor’s smile deepened.

“That’s my good girl,” she purred softly.

Before I could catch my breath, Taylor closed the tiny distance between us, placing her lips firmly over mine.

The kiss was deep, slow, and completely possessive. It sent a sudden spike of electric heat straight down my spine, washing away the bitter taste of betrayal and replacing it with something wild and overwhelming. I didn't hesitate. I wrapped my arms around her neck, kissing her back effortlessly, giving in to the heat.

Taylor’s arm slid down to my waist, pulling me so tightly against her that there wasn't a single inch of space left between us. She deepened the kiss, claiming every drop of my breath until my knees felt weak and my head spun out of control.

When she finally broke the kiss, we were both panting heavily, our warm breaths mingling in the cool night air.

Taylor looked down at me with a dangerous, seductive smile playing on her lips.

“Let’s go back to our room,” she whispered, her voice laced with a heavy, irresistible temptation as she kept her arm locked firmly around my waist staring at me.

"Taylor… what the fuck is happening here?" Andrew’s sharp, suffocating voice sliced through the heavy air of the bedroom. The shock hit me like a bucket of ice water. Panic surged through my veins, obliterating the lingering haze of pleasure in an instant. I gasped against Taylor’s mouth, my heart leaping straight into my throat as sheer terror gripped me. Reacting purely on instinct, I shoved against Taylor’s shoulders with all the strength I could muster. The kiss broke with a soft, wet sound. I scrambled wildly across the mattress, pulling my dress down as I buried myself beneath the thick silk duvet at the far edge of the king-sized bed. My hands trembled violently as I pulled the covers up to my chin, my breathing coming in short, terrified hitches. Taylor didn't panic. She didn't even look startled. Instead, a dark, dangerous hiss escaped her lips at the interruption. Slowly, fluidly, she sat up on the edge of the bed and stood to her feet, smoothing down her silk robe

Taylor’s arms slid under my knees and around my back, scooping me up effortlessly in a bridal style. I gasped, instinctively wrapping my arms around her neck to steady myself. Her body was solid, warm, and radiating a subtle scent of sandalwood and expensive perfume that instantly made my head spin. She walked up the grand staircase without breaking her stride, her dark eyes locked onto mine the entire time. I couldn't look away even if I wanted to. The absolute dominance in her gaze sent an electric shiver straight down my spine. She pushed open the heavy double doors of her master bedroom, stepping inside and letting the door click shut behind us. Walking over to the massive king-sized bed, she laid me down gently across the silk sheets. But before I could even draw a full breath, she leaned over, coming down to hover directly on top of me. Her arms framed my head, trapping me in her orbit. "Scared?" Taylor murmured; her voice was so low, a velvet purr. She was so close th

Then the two people whom I hated with every fibre of my being walked straight into the dining room. They were clinging to each other, so completely lost in a heavy, passionate kiss that they didn't even care to check if the room was empty. It was Andrew and Kate.Kate’s arms were wrapped tightly around his neck, letting out soft, breathless moans into his mouth while he pulled her flush against his body.My fingers froze around the crystal glass in my hand. Cold rage washed over the warm buzz of the alcohol.“I love you so much, you little tease,” Andrew muttered against her lips, breathless and eager. When they finally broke the kiss. Kate’s fingers trailed down Andrew’s bare chest. He wasn't even wearing a shirt. A smug, victorious smile spread across my sister's face.“So tell me...” Kate purred, her voice dripping with artificial sweetness. “Am I better than Sophia at turning you on?”“By far, baby,” Andrew replied instantly with a low smirk on his face as Kate’s hand slid lower,

Andrew’s defensive scoff wavered. He tried to force a confident smirk, but it came out crooked and strained.“Taylor, stop messing with me. You don’t like girls. Besides, you’ve never even been with one.”Taylor rose from the couch in one fluid, deadly motion. She closed the distance between them, stepping right into Andrew’s personal space until she was staring directly down into his eyes.“Even if that were true,” Taylor whispered softly, “aren’t you afraid she’ll stop loving you eventually?”“Hell no,” Andrew sneered without a second of hesitation, his arrogance radiating off him in sickening waves. “Even if she remembers everything, I can just sweet-talk her. She’ll forgive me. She always does. She’s so helplessly in love with me, Taylor, she could never... leave me.”Hearing those cruel, arrogant words come out of the mouth of the man I had given five years of my life to made it impossible to breathe. The pain in my chest mutated, twisting into a hot, violent fury that burned awa

“What… I… I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I stammered, my voice trembling as my heart hammered violently against my ribs. I forced my eyes to widen with innocent, terrified confusion. “I really don’t remember anything. Please… don’t scare me like this, Taylor.”Taylor stared down at me, her dark, piercing gaze searching every inch of my face. For a terrifying second, I thought she was going to call my bluff. Then, the sharp edge in her expression melted into a smooth, devastatingly handsome smile.“Alright, if you say so, dear,” she murmured softly, her tone dripping with mock gentle indulgence. “I won’t scare you. Get some rest.”She reached out, her fingers warm as she brushed a stray lock of hair behind my ear. Before I could pull away, she leaned down, pressing a soft, lingering kiss right onto my forehead. The heat of her lips burned against my skin long after she pulled back.“I have some business to take care of,” Taylor said, smoothing down her suit jacket.Without an
