Amelia's POV

I woke up to the sounds of multiple notification noises popping on my phone. It was annoyingly continuous, you'd think a zombie apocalypse broke out and I was just here sleeping when I should be running for my life.

I grabbed the phone from my nightstand and went through each of the notifications, in the order of the ones that caught my attention first.

But the more I checked out the words, the more it made absolutely no sense.

Amelia's POV I hadn't expected the question from Lucas, so I had no time to think about the right answer. But I answered anyway."No." The words came out and it was too late to take it back. Not like I would anyway.I admit I might be trembling a bit, which was normal for someone that just watched the man she would fuck even in her sleep kill someone like he's nothing but a cockroach. But what isn't normal is that whatever I'd just seen didn't make me scared of him.I don't stand around and let someone I'm scared of touch me when I have every chance and opportunity to run without a backward glance.Desperation does a lot of things to someone. Like imagining there wasn't just one person but two with you within the walls of an abandoned restroom where you were locked in.But then I remembered having a dream before this. In the dream, I heard locks clicking, the blurry image of someone that seemed very much like Lucas, a twinge of desperation as he called my name, hoping I would talk t

  • Married to Him, Saved by his Brother   041

Amelia's POV That was literally the most brutal scene I've ever witnessed in my entire life and I don't even know if I should be relieved that Lucas could defend himself so effortlessly or terrified that he killed someone so gruesomely without a single form of remorse or regret. That's even saying too much because there wasn't so much as a flinch when he dragged that needle out of the guy's eyes and also none when he stabbed him in the neck to complete the entire murder mission.Everyone in the room looked scared out of their fucking skin, even down to Damian. He literally had his jaw in the fucking ground for the past three minutes. The only person who looked slightly normal was former Alpha Victor and it's kind of giving me the vibe of a father that knows his son too well to be surprised by anything he does. But I knew that was very far from the truth obviously. The arguments they just had right in front of me weren't the kind a son would have with his father unless they really hav

Lucas’ POV The moment my supposed excuse of a father raised his hand at Amelia, I saw red. In every fucking dimension.I acted purely on impulse… maybe even reflex. My hand shot out so fast, no one saw it coming. Then I held that hand of his in a death grip. How dare he try to hit her? And no less, right in front of me?!A big fucking mistake on his path, if you ask me.“What the hell are you doing, Lucas?” My father, Former Alpha Victor thundered, trying to no avail to snatch his hand from my grip.“That's a question I should be asking you, don't you think, old man?” I asked, raising a questioning brow at him, as my fingers tightened angrily around his grip. “Trying to hit a woman in broad daylight, without a single twinge of shame clawing at your conscience?”“Who are you to preach about conscience to anyone, Lucas?” he asked“I might not be capable of preaching about conscience to anyone else, but to you, no one is above that duty, Father. Fucking hell…” I yelled, cursing as my th

No one unrelated to the royal family can make that happen’ @bluebird347: ‘That’s crazy!’ @jadeechoes: ‘Alpha Damian couldn't possibly have done that, could he?’ @crownloyalist: ‘The Alpha Prince is my best bet. He's more of a trouble maker than anyone else in the royal family.’ Of all the comments,

Amelia's POV The first thing that seeped into my subconsciousness, was a voice… No, two. Both males. While one sounded strange, the other was a voice I recognized too well. Perhaps I was just dreaming. Desperation does a lot of things to someone. Like imagining there wasn't just one person but two with you within the walls of an abandoned restroom where you were locked in. But then I remembered having another dream before this. In the dream, I heard locks clicking, the blurry image of someone that seemed very much like Lucas, a twinge of desperation as he called my name, hoping I would talk to him, and a blinding light that forced my eyes back closed. But it seemed so real, so realistic that I could feel his touch. I could feel him pulling me out of that horrid darkness. And I had embraced the light, hoping that it truly wasn't a dream, but reality. The voices persisted, and slowly I could make out distorted words. “... stable now…” “Panic attack…” “... dismissed” The voic

  • Married to Him, Saved by his Brother   037.

Lucas' POV It's been almost twenty hours since I last saw Amelia but it feels like it's been an entire goddamn year. I had to leave in a hurry earlier at dawn, barely two hours after she fell asleep and I couldn't bother giving her an explanation as to why I was going to disappear for the day, so I didn't. Mostly because, I couldn't risk getting her tangled with the messes that were mine to be handled and because I thought I'd be able to return to the pack house as early as possible. But now, it was already 7pm and I was just getting things wrapped up as fast as I could because I couldn't wait to see a particular wildcat. I couldn't wait to have my hands all over her and feel that raw heat seeping from her skin. I couldn't wait to feel her clawing at my shoulders and back while I made her eyes roll back hard from intense pleasure. Maybe it was because it's literally the first time I could feel something in so many years, or maybe it was just something else, like the attraction I
