Hell to Meet you, Hayden

Chapter 1

“Ughhh…” His hands are on my chest, squeezing hard. We were kissing like we were trying to steal each other’s breath. I hold the back of his neck as he tilts my face and deepens the kiss, tasting me like he owns me.

He pauses, staring right into my eyes. Then he grabs my legs, and slowly opens them as I sit on the table. My legs are shaking, partly from anticipation. He kneels in front of me, his hands holding my thighs apart and I lean back with my elbows supporting me.

Then he started eating me.

Every moment, every sound, every wet noise — everything echoes in the room and in my head.

“Oh my g*d…. f*ck...” I moaned, tugging his hair. “I can’t believe this is happening,” I whispered. “A handsome stranger doing this to me… yes, don’t stop.” He didn’t. He eats me like he is starving or like I am his favorite ice cream.

“Fcking sht…” I gasped, out of control.

He stands up. He is  about to put himself inside me—

A loud ringing cut everything.

Not from the room.

From my phone.

I forced my eyes open. My hair was a mess, my pillows were on the floor. I blink at the ceiling, confused.

…. DId I just wake up?

Triiing…. Triiiiing..

Damn it.

It was just a dream.

Triiiing… triiing…

Whoever was calling—ruined everything.

Triiing.. Triiing..

“What the f*ck..” I grabbed my phone without checking the caller ID. Someone was sobbing on the other end. “Hello?” No reply. I sat up, suddenly alert. “HELLO?!”

“Katlyn..” More crying. I recognized the voice instantly.

“What happened?” My voice trembled with concern.

“I can’t live without him…” her voice breaking.

Here we go again. “What did he do now?”

“He broke up with me.. Hayden broke up with me…” Nairovi was crying like the world ended.

“Pierro?” I asked, just to be sure.

“Katlyn! Who else would it be?” she snaps.

“Oh. I told you he’s a jerk.” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Can you sympathize with me even for one second?” she yelled.

I rub my face, “Okay, I’m sorry. What’s the plan?”

“I don’t know… I’m going crazy… he’s my life…” sounds hopeless.

Love makes people stupid. I sigh quietly.

“Please.. help me,” she whispers and I don’t know how.

That jerk, I’ve never met him and I already hate him. If I could slap him across the face, I will.

“Let’s meet at the club tonight. Fix yourself. We’ll party until you forget him.” She needs a distraction before she drowns in her own sadness.

“But your dad? You’re grounded, right?” she asked, uncertainly.

Right. I forgot I was basically a prisoner in my own house. “He won’t know,” I said.

You’ll die if he catches you.”

I corrected her, “if he CATCHES me.”

“Same old way?” she asks quietly.

Knock. Knock. “Ms. Katlyn?" my maid, Sylina. My sigh was loud enough for Nairovi to hear.

“Haha! You haven’t even left and they’re already after you,” she’s teasing me.

“It sucks…” I yell before Sylina knocks again. “I’m coming!”

“Your lunch is ready,” she called.

I whisper, “Same old way. Meet me at 8 P.M., okay?”

Nairovi, “Yeah.”

“Take care.”

“You too.”

I hang up.

Sylina brought in my lunch. I told her not to clean my room at night — just in case she discovers my escape — and waited until the hallway was clear. Then, I slipped out the window. It wasn’t easy, but leaving my best friend alone tonight wasn’t an option.

When I reached the club, the familiar luxury hit me. Black marble floors, velvet sitting, chrome lighting, VIP areas like thrones. Our usual space is upstairs. I spot her immediately and hug her tightly. Nairovi was stunning — big brown eyes, long lashes, full lips, flawless skin, slim but curvy. She always turns heads. So, how did Hayden manage to break her this badly?

She smiles weakly, her eyes look dead. There are already multiple tequila shots on the table. You don’t understand heartbreak until you see someone pretending they’re fine while their world is falling apart.

I am about to speak when people below suddenly scream. The excited kind.

“Oh my god, Hayden is here!”

“I love you, Hayden!”

“The Pierro is here!”

Sh*t.

“The Pierro is HERE?!” I ask. She nodded, confused.

“Nairovi, you know I’m mad at him for hurting you, but you also know we can’t be in the same place as him. Did you call him?” I asked once more.

“No! He blocked me!” she answered.

“Then why is he here?” I keep asking.

“I don’t know!” she said, shrugging.

We yell over the music. “This can’t be happening,” I mutter. “Let’s go.” I state.

“No.” she disapproves.

Before I can stop her, she runs downstairs. I follow, but I freeze halfway when I see her kneeling in front of him, I couldn't see his face yet, only his back. But something about him looks… familiar.

He had another girl clinging to his arm. Move on? Do men even know that word?

I rushed down to help Nairovi stand, but the girl with Hayden accidentally poured alcohol on my back while aiming for Nairovi. The cold shock made me grit my teeth.

“Stop, you’re out of your mind,” Hayden said.

“She deserves it! It’s for your ex but this girl blocked it. What a piece of sh*t,” the girl lashed out at.

I pulled Nairovi up, she was too drunk to stand. The girl pushed me and we stumbled. People around us whispered loudly.

“OMG! Is that Katlyn?”

“She’s a Salvatore, right?”

“Yes! This is getting good!”

“Someone record this!”

I had to get her out of here. I dragged her toward a chair and she passed out instantly. I barely had a second to breathe before the girl yanked my hair from behind. Now, my patience died on the spot.

I grab a glass of wine and smack it against her head. Then I slapped her twice — left and right. She froze, I seized food from the table and shoved it into her mouth before she could scream. She fell onto a chair, speechless.

Hayden looked shocked…. but he was smiling.

Did he forget what we are? I walked toward him slowly…. My heartbeat felt heavy. I knew I was dead after this. Pierro and Salvatore don’t mix. We don’t talk, we don’t meet, we don’t even breathe the same air….

And yet here we are.

He stared at me, “You shouldn’t be here,” Hayden said calmly.

I smirk, even though my hands were shaking. “Neither should you.” Then I throw a wine in his face. “Hell to meet you, Hayden.”

Chapter 7We were already inside the hospital room when I rushed toward the bed, my chest tightening at the sight of Nairovi.“Nai…” I whispered, moving closer. For a moment, her eyes lifted to mine, dazed for a moment, then she suddenly froze — like seeing me hurt her all over again. I leaned down and wrapped my arms around her, trying to comfort her, but she shoved me away with surprising force.. She pushed me off like my touch stung. Before I could say anything, the door opened behind me.Hayden stepped inside with slow, controlled strides. His hands were tucked into his pockets, shoulders broad, face unreadable. The second Nairovi saw him, everything in her expression changed. A spark lit up her eyes — hope, longing, disbelief all crashing together like she’d been waiting for him and only him. She immediately pushed herself up from the bed, the white blanket pooling on her lap as she straightened her posture. “Hayden!” she blurted out, practically glowing. “I knew you couldn’t

Chapter 6 I walked into the mansion and found everyone gathered in the living room. The tension was so thick it felt like the air itself was holding its breath.“Now what have you done Hayden? You married this girl and got her bestfriend pregnant? Amazing!” his mom, Alessiah snarled.Great. Perfect. Just what I needed.“This is crazy! How will we surpass this? It’s this girl’s fault!” Elly Rose jabbed her finger at me.Grandma Aurora intervened immediately. “Elly, stop. Katlyn is part of this family now. She did nothing wrong.”“Well, if it’s not her fault, then it’s her best friend’s fault,” Elly professed.I felt rage rise in me. I stood up straighter. “Really? Nairovi's fault? Or your brother? Who got her pregnant, huh? Who made the mess here?”It was pointless, but I wasn’t letting her talk trash about someone who only acted out of pain. Nairovi was hurting because of everything we all caused. I still cared about her, even after she dragged me into hell.“Enough! No more of this

Chapter 5After an hour, I survived my first meal with the Pierro family. I honestly don’t know how long I can keep this up. Every glance was sharp, and I kept thinking I was doing something wrong. Now I’m back inside our room—Hayden’s old room. They decorated everything for us. Hayden mentioned his childhood bestfriend came from Europe is arriving today, someone he treats like brother, and he wants me to meet him later. I sit on the edge of the bed to rest, but my phone vibrates, A message from Nairovi. You dirty little shit, I thought you were my bestfriend. Chapter 4My father tensed his jaw. Hayden continued, “and since I’ll marry your daughter, you’ll be part of the family. It won’t be a disadvantage. Just give the power to the right hands.” My hands curled into fists under the table. My mom is still in the hospital, and her condition is critical, we have to agree. The Pierro wanted to “fix everything fast,” so they set the wedding for tomorrow. The day of the wedding, I stood in front of the mirror wearing a white satin A-line dress. Deep V-neck, a big bow at the back and a long, flowing skirt. When the priest said, “You may now kiss the bride,” I froze. Hayden lifted my veil slowly like he was taking his time to study my face. His eyes didn’t look cold, they looked… curious. The moment our eyes met, my heart jumped. His brows pulled together a little, as if silently asking, What are you scared of? He was wearing his groom’s suit, and now I notice his sharp jaw, thick brows, deep dark eyes, and that neat beard that made him unfai

Chapter 3 The world stops, my mouth hangs open. “Wh–what? No. That’s impossible.” “You will marry their eldest son,” he says. “You will marry Hayden.” The room spins, my vision blurs, my mind empties. Marry Hayden? A Pierro? The man I met tonight? I don’t like marriage, I never wanted it, not even in my dreams…. And definitely not with a Pierro. My father scans at me coldly. “This is the only way to save our family.” I want to scream. I look at all of them, and I realize something. My suffering is their solution. This isn’t just a nightmare. The following day, I stayed inside my room. They didn’t have to remind me I was grounded, I didn’t even want to leave anymore. I just lay, staring at the tray ceiling like everything in my life was falling one by one.Despite all the luxuries, my only dream was simple — freedom. To run away, but now…. that dream felt more impossible than ever. My father warned me last night. He said everything would be “arranged”, and until both families agreed

Chapter 2I leave the club with Nairovi, her arm heavy on my shoulder. She can barely walk straight, mumbling random words that don’t even make sense. She keeps giggling like she’s dreaming, not drunk, and I honestly feel like she doesn’t know what she just did inside the club or what happened to both of us. She starts crying like a baby, shouting Hayden’s name. I feel a pang of regret for saying earlier that she wasn’t drunk — clearly she is.I bring her home safely, make sure she’s inside her gate, and only then do I breathe out. The moment I take my phone from my pocket to check the time, my stomach drops so fast I almost lost my balance. 19 missed calls..From my fatherMy hands start shaking instantly…Because tonight, I broke the one rule our family swore never to break.
