“Kaid, isn’t this too much? I wasn’t planning on getting too many things.” I couldn’t help but complain for the umpteenth time. I had thought he was joking around when he suddenly said he was going to accompany me. And true to his words, he came back home to pick me up.

It was meant to be a simple mall visit, since I had been cooped up in the house for too long, I wanted to do something refreshing and had decided on shopping on a whim. But here we were with shopping bags that might not even fit into the trunk of the car, and Kaid wasn’t done. He insisted on my modelling the outfit for him, and I couldn’t help but secretly enjoy it.

“Nothing’s too much for you, Sage,” He murmured, his eyes trailing the emerald bandage short dress I was putting on. “You look hot in this,” He added, his voice dangerously low. A small smile tugged on my lips as I caught the gleam in his eye.
