Chapter 44

Lucy's pov;

I came downstairs and saw Tyler sitting in his usual spot on the couch with his laptop open and he was staring at it like it was about to start talking to him or something. He looked up when I walked through the door, "Do you want something?" he asked.

"I came for some water." I answered and went over to the kitchen. He got up from the couch and grabbed a glass before I did and gave it to me. I let out a sigh and said while showing my hands, "It's not like my hands don't have the capacity of holding that much water, Mr Ackerman." and kept the glass near the counter after drinking the water from it. Since Tyler didn't move and stood still staring at me, I asked, "What is it?"

"Nothing," he shook his head and started heading toward the living room without saying anything further and then he stopped, turned around and said to me , "I'm going upstairs for a bit." and then he left with his laptop.

I watched him until he disappeared and then walked out of the house and
