One Manhattan West. That was the Bureau's headquarter office. Fitting that it was in New York, one of the most famous and busiest cities in the world. Lyra had made a full recovery and started attending her Cousin's wedding. Viola had to come up with an excuse to not attend, since she was going out with Leonardo. They stepped in the elevator together, accompanied by Sylvester another one of Leonardo's betas. She preferred Sylvester to Loki. He was kinder, gentler and he seemed to be genuinely interested in her. Not like Loki who walked about all day with a scowl on his face and his scowl deepening when he saw her. "Remember. You cannot show the Bureau any sign of weakness or intimidation, they would notice and use it against you." Leonardo repeated and Viola nodded. For some reason, she was not as nervous as she had thought she would be. Maybe because Leonardo and her had spent the night together in each other's arms. Her cheeks warmed at the mere thought of it. He had wante
Shapeshifter. Elf. Vampire. Witch. Faerie. Hunter. Demon. It seemed like every possible group of supernatural that could exist was there. But Viola still felt that the council was inadequate. Grossly inadequate. There were so much more supernaturals she had heard of, like the sea folk, and the druids and the nephilims. Albeit very small minorities but still important. They all had old boring names, something Viola feared would make it harder for their names to stick. But at least she could remember them by what they were. “Is this the Viola who attacked our agent?” The woman was a faerie said and Viola raised her eyebrow. “You mean your agent who provoked me? Or did she not tell you the full story?” The woman scoffed. She turned to Leonardo. “I should think the woman who is to be your Luna Queen should have a much better temperament.” “But then again, the Santangelos are not known for being levelheaded.” She murmured. Viola caught that, but decided to ignore the remark. The
On the flight back to Milan, Viola contemplated everything the Bureau had said to them. It was wild. She had never heard anything like it. Was it even possible? To enslave the whole human race? It sounded like a stupid idea. From all sides. Leonardo has not said anything to her after the meeting with the Bureau. Nothing to suggest whether or not he was contemplating the idea. She felt like he was, because he had been unusually quiet, but she couldn't understand why he would be. Lyra was feeling much better, they had even attended her cousin's wedding together. She could only stay a little while though, she had left shortly after. There was much to do, with the wedding coming up, she realized that she had not picked her wedding gown. Which was wild considering they had three weeks and a few days before the wedding. She would have to go shopping for a wedding dress since she didn't get one in New York. God there was so much to do and it all seemed so rushed. She felt like they could
As Viola had lied about going to New York to shop for wedding dresses, she had no choice but to go and actually shop for wedding dresses when she got back to Milan. This time, she also had other things in mind. She had been thinking about Amit a lot, the demon that had visited her. The amulet that Gwenda gave her protected her from Amit, but she still wanted to talk to Amit. Amit was no ordinary demon. Amit had met her parents and she would very much like to talk to Amit again. So this time, instead of wearing her amulet, she left it on her bedside drawer. She would let Amit come to her. Trace her energy and find her. In the meantime. She hoped that the demon would find her. Because she desperately needed some answers to the questions that were running around in her mind. She had somewhat of a restful night, going to bed knowing that Leonardo was only a few bedrooms away from her wasn't as comforting as it sounded. It actually made a restless for a while. They had talked a bit m
"Mr Leonardo? Your beta is here to see you."The staff said after a brief knock on his study door. Leonardo rubbed his tired eyes and looked at the time. It was almost midnight. What was Loki doing at his place so late. "Send him in."He said and the staff nodded and left. Closing the door slightly. When Viola left he had taken a shower, then a small nap. Then after dinner he went to his study to look at financial reports for the company. He was lagging behind at work. Especially with everything that was going on.He hoped whatever Loki was coming with wouldn't give him more stress. "You weren't answering my calls."Loki said as he walked into Leonardo's study.Leonardo opened the first drawer on his table and fished out his phone. He had switched it off. "I wasn't aware."He said as he showed him his phone. Loki sighed."What was so important that it couldn't wait till tomorrow morning."Loki sighed."I just got word from the pack house. Apparently the pack elders had a meeting.
"You mean there's a way?! A way you can turn into a werewolf?!"Leonardo exclaimed and Viola nodded. "I read about it in my grandmother's diaries. There was a way... she turned into a werewolf once. And a crow too... she was desperate and although it drained her a lot she believes it to be possible."Leonardo's eyes widened."Well if you manage to do that... it would be phenomenal! It would clear all doubts they have of you!"Viola's shoulders slacked as she remembered that there was an actual possibility that she would not be able to do the spell."What if I can't do it?! What if I'm not strong enough?!"She asked and Leonardo waved her comment away. "Nonsense! I've seen you do things you didn't even know you could do. I think you could at least give this a try and see if it would work."Viola didn't look convinced so Leonardo held her hands and drew her close, pulling her closer to him."Viola, I cannot believe a woman of your power and expertise is actually doubting your ability.
Leonardo and Viola arrived at the pack house late. Around seven pm. The initiation ritual was in a few minutes. They had left pretty late because Viola had been stuck on the transformation spell for hours. Hours and hours on end before Gwenda finally made a breakthrough. Even when she finally did, she didn't get time to practice the spell because Leonardo had come around to pick her up shortly after. She had no other choice but to leave with him. He didn't tell her what her ordeal would be or if he managed to make it easier for her but from the grim look on his face and the unspoken words he said, Viola could tell that it was not good. She tried to remain calm and Leonardo had offered her words of encouragement. She knew she had tried her best from her end, even with the limited time, she had pushed herself, more than she had ever done before just to make sure she had least had a fighting chance at her ordeal. When they arrived at the pack house they were led straight to an opening
Leonardo watched Viola sleeping peacefully in his bed. He had opened the curtains, letting the sunlight in and hoping that it would prompt her to wake up. She had been sleeping all morning, granted, the transformation spell must have taken a lot of her energy but he didn't plan to stay in the pack house the whole day and he wanted to leave. He was meant to take her with him. She stirred slightly, then her eyes fluttered open. She turned and looked straight at him."Glad you're awake.""How are you doing?"He asked her and she nodded."I'm fine."She said as she slowly sat upright.God she felt like someone had hit her with bricks all over and she felt so sore. She didn’t imagine that she would feel so sick and exhausted. "Do you remember everything that happened?"He asked and she nodded, her fingers slightly massaging her forehead. Did she? "Yes. Yes. I think I do.""Did I pass my initiation?"She asked eagerly and Leonardo nodded."You did. The elders would be here any minute to
