Nathaniel’s POV

“I’m leaving.” Ava turned away, as if dismissing the entire situation.

I grabbed her wrist before she could take another step. “Ava...”

“Let go." Her voice was low but filled with irritation.

But I wasn’t letting go. I wasn’t letting her walk away from this or from me. She had to explain to me what was happening.

“She said let go.”

I wasn’t sure what I expected to see when I tracked Ava’s phone and followed it here. But this? This was the last damn thing I wanted to hear from another guy.
