||Book 1 of Wild and Wicked Series|| A relationship has never had a place in Fiona Chen's chaotic life. What she needed was someone who would take her out of her boredom, minus the commitments. Becoming the bodyguard of a handsome but stubborn businessman sounded just like the perfect job for her. Except she made one fatal mistake—she slept with him the night before she was supposed to meet him. Realizing her mistake, the fiery Fiona immediately turned away the contract. But when Luca Han, the handsome CEO, showed up on her doors with an offer she could not refuse, Fiona was forced to work with him and pretend to be his wife to uncover a secret from her past. Falling for him was never part of the plan. Until she sensed that Luca wanted her as badly as she wanted him. There was just one problem. Fiona was definitely not who she said she was. And knowing the truth could either make them stronger together... or keep them apart forever.

“Tell me… when was the last time that you slept with someone?” Her boss, Catherine ‘Candy’ Jones, lifted her brows. “Please don’t tell me it was four years ago?”
Fiona frowned in response. “Why is this relevant to me feeling bored?”
“Well… first and foremost, you are stressed. You don’t need the money and yet you worked all week. I told you, you can have the CEO position of WILD and WICKED anytime but you prefer to travel the world with your clients.” Her friend smiled at her before leaning against her velvet pink swivel chair that she had someone customized.
Here they go again. No matter the topic, her friend would never stop including the topic of making her the CEO of their company. She had gotten tired of saying no to her.
“I told you… I am bored,” Fiona answered. To be fair, her life was really boring these days. Aside from the occasional body guarding, all she did was operate on some people who didn't want to go to the hospital. It was like a routine that was getting boring. “And please… you are making it sound like I am an escort or something.”
“Fiona… I really think you should find someone—a date. I don’t know a f*ck buddy. Just someone that could make you stay in one place for at least a month?”
“Nope. Too busy to deal with other people.” She was too busy with her own problems, she didn’t need more of those problematic men.
“You just said you’re bored?”
“I am bored! I need some excitement in my life. Apparently, holding scalpels all the time isn’t really that fun.”
“Then find someone to sleep with?” Candy’s auburn hair that looked like Fiona’s, moved as she tilted her head.
“Good suggestion.” Fiona nodded. “But I don’t have the time.”
“You have the time to operate on some drug lords but you have no time to flirt with someone? Come on! Sex is part of our physiological need. It’s vital for survival.”
Fiona made a face. In the past five years, she has never slept with another person. Surely, this was proof that sex was not vital for survival. “I don’t like it.”
“You need a shrink.” Candy chuckled. “I mean… no offense but you can’t like me, alright? I will only break your fragile heart.”
Fiona held the tea in front of her. Smiling, she closed her eyes and enjoyed the aroma of jasmine tea— her favorite. Candy had been teasing her about her sexuality since she refused to sleep with one of her friends. Of course, she didn’t mind. “I have standards.”
“Oh? Is it the typical tall, dark and handsome?”
“Tall… big and handsome,” Fiona said before she chuckled. “Someone smarter than me.” To be fair, the man that Candy introduced was a total douchebag who couldn’t stop talking about his Ferrari. Then he felt offended when he saw that she was riding a Bugatti veyron. Fiona would never forget the man’s face when he realized that she could afford something he couldn’t. “Alright, it's time to stop talking about d*cks. Do you have something for me?” she asked the woman who took her in while she was abandoned by her whole family five years ago.
“Seriously? You just— Fiona look— You are still carrying your suitcase from your other job. You need vacation.”
“My need for money is more pressing than a short vacation,” she retorted.
Candy snorted, unimpressed. “You have millions and you will turn twenty eight tomorrow, still you talk like you were twenty two. Can you at least…”
“Nope. Please remind me to change my accountant next time. I don’t want you knowing my finances anymore.” Fiona chuckled. Her friend was actually a brilliant accountant lawyer who has been taking care of her finances since they decided to start this company. She then put the tea cup on the circular glass table in front of her. Her green eyes stared at Candy’s dark brown ones before she smiled. “I’m bored. I need a job.”
Candy rolled her eyes and sighed. “What kind of job do you need this time?” The right to choose jobs was not because she was the co-owner of the company. It was because of her track record. A bodyguard who had an SS clearance was not something that many people could achieve at her age.
“As usual… the top secret ones,” Fiona said. Jobs like those were just the best. Those were the ones where she could pretend to be another person while guarding someone. And to Fiona, being another person was better than being Fiona Chen.
“I have one that would be perfect for you. But… the requirements are quite— ”
“Do I qualify?”
“Of course you do.” Candy grabbed a folder and was about to give it to Fiona but she didn’t accept it and just waived her hand.
“As long as it’s dangerous.” The harder the better. At this point in life, Fiona didn’t care about danger anymore. She wanted the thrill, the fun. These were the only things that mattered in her eyes.
“Crazy,” Candy said but it was clear that this was nothing new to her. After all, Fiona always wanted the deadliest mission, something that would make her forget everything. “The pay is huge but we neede to sign a confidentiality contract. The client is a millionaire from HongKong, young and— ”
“I can read the file before we meet the client. For now… I need a bath.”
“Who told you to come here just after you finished your… part time job?” Candy glanced at her suitcase. “Meet me two days from now in this address. It’s a private villa. The property is not under his name, security is thick so please… don’t bring any guns? Oh… and here you go—”
“A gift?” Fiona smiled, her mind was still focused on the fact that she couldn’t bring any guns in the meeting. Just the thought of walking around without her glock was already ruining her day. But she said nothing. She understood that some clients were much more demanding than the others. This was a part of her job.
“Tomorrow is your birthday. I know you won’t want to celebrate it with other people.”
“Oh. Then… thank you?” Fiona smiled, a dimple appeared on her left cheek. Then she accepted the gift and opened the pink box in front of her friend. “A vacation for two?” She arched an eyebrow.
“You need one.”
Fiona snorted but shook her head. “Thank you. I’m sure… I will use this soon.” After the job, Fiona was planning to take a six month leave anyway. Going to the Caribbean for two weeks was actually a very good plan.
This woman was truly shameless. Fiona had been here for a couple of days and she was already accusing her of something. “Miss Jiang, I have only been here for a couple of days. Or have you forgotten that?” “You–” Fiona smiled at Naomi. Despite being distraught, Naomi looked divine in her makeup. She was wearing a pale blue suit that highlighted her curves. It wasn’t vulgar or anything. In fact, it looked cool and fashionable. With her hair in a bun, Naomi looked professional and intimidating at that same time. “Of course, if uncle was so concerned about the Han Family then… why not just make her your secretary?” Luca sneered. This scheme was of course created by Fiona. It was a simple one. First, Cedric needed to get rid of the people that the Jiang Family put inside the company. Getting rid of spies should be his priority. He needed to establish his name, and he wouldn’t be able to do anything if there were spies all ar
Fiona had been through a lot of meetings before. To her, it was all coffee and boring. Yet, today, she could feel a static electricity dancing through the air as the men in suits with egos bigger than their brains looked at her with disdain. They must have known about the new hot secretary. But they shouldn’t care about her clothing or her face. What they care about is the fact that the VP of HICI, Samuel Han called this meeting. The goal is to tackle some of the issues about the upcoming bidding that HICI wanted to win. The bidding was for a huge project in Beijing. However, if this was all about the bidding, then why was Naomi here?Sitting next to Samuel Han was the beautiful Miss Naomi Jiang. She sat there, chin lifted high as she talked to the other people sitting at the table. Unlike Naomi, Fiona was sitting in a chair by the door. Next to the tray where the coffee and other refreshments were placed.Fiona eyed Luca, who was list
“So let me get this clear, Arya cannot actually show herself in the company because of some promise she made to your grandfather?” Fiona sat on the couch inside their room, she eyed Luca who was busy on his laptop. “She wanted grandfather to pay for her travels after she spent all her trust fund money in gaining followers on some social media.” Fiona stared at him, flabbergasted. How come she never heard about this before? Obviously, the Han Family must have tried to hide it as it would only ruin the woman’s reputation. As someone with Chinese blood, she knew how people in China and Hong Kong care a lot about reputation. They would care about preserving their face more than they would care about the mental health of their child. Obviously, this only happens to a few families with really rich and traditional backgrounds. She was honestly curious about the money but decided not to ask about it. “You are curious about the money?” “Was it that obv
Luca looked at Fiona just as Arya and Naomi left the room, then he chuckled and tilted the teacup towards her. “Cheers.” Fiona snorted in response. She had enjoyed the brief show. She enjoyed annoying Arya and Naomi. “I never thought you have the talent in annoying people to death.” It was a compliment. She met his gaze, her lips lifted upwards into a beautiful cunning smile. “I never thought you have the ability to predict people’s reactions.” He responded. “Your plan was flawless. It was her plan to invite Naomi and make her create a scene in front of Luca’s uncle, Samuel Han. The fact that Luca’s cousin actually came with her was just the bonus. “I would take that as a compliment.” “It was a compliment,” he simpered as he looked at her with amused eyes. Fiona was not only smart, she was beautiful and talented in the business. She was just perfect for the job. “Thank you. Now… can we ask the server to please give us the food?
The smell of tea wafted inside the private room in the restaurant. It was jasmine, mild and fragrant for most people. In fact, it was Naomi’s favorite tea. She smiled and took a sip, then she stole a glance at Luca who remembered her tastes.“Luca, why would you invite her to this dinner?” Arya immediately took the first opportunity to speak just as the waiter who took their order left. “I thought you were only inviting Naomi?”“Hmmm.” Luca nodded. “I invited Miss Jiang and Fiona. But I don’t remember inviting you.”Arya’s face reddened. She stared at Luca in disbelief. “You— ““Luca, how could you say something like that to Arya? She was only concerned about me. Please stop acting like that to your own cousin.”“I don’t think there is something wrong with that question Miss Jiang,” Luca said before sipping his tea. &ldquo
[How come she immediately became an executive secretary? I wonder what kind of connections she has. Maybe it was just because of her pretty face?] [I don’t think she is that pretty.] [I know, right? She doesn’t look like someone that smart.] [I’m sure Miss Jiang is heartbroken. I always thought they were together, but the CEO just let the mistress bully Miss Jiang.] [Hey, I heard, that woman’s CV didn’t even pass the HR. If so, how did she qualify? I never thought that the CEO would be so blind.] [I saw her today. She was walking around the canteen alone. Maybe the rumors about her and Mr. Han are not true. I mean, if the CEO liked her, then why was she eating in that place on her own?] Seeing the messages on their WeChat group, Naomi smirked. A sense of victory filled her. As expected. Because of what happened, everyone thought that Fiona was actually a gold-digging
