Chapter 41: Tatiana
It is been a week since I received the news of my family’s demise. I can’t still wrap my head around the idea that I am never going to see them again. The pain of their loss is excruciating, the emptiness I feel in my chest is indescribable, most days it makes it hard to even breathe. Dimitri has been trying to cheer me up but I have barely paid any attention to him. I know this is technically not his fault, he didn’t have them killed himself, but that doesn’t mean he hasn't played a part in all of this: our marriage meant that my family would be safe. They weren’t. Dimitri failed me.
Besides, they claim the Esposito gang did this, but in my heart, I know Lucas would never allow something so heinous to happen to me. I have to hold on to the belief that there are certain limits people would never cross, especially people that claim to love you.
