56. Jake's Apology

Kei was in the middle of putting up a closed sign on her shop and went back into the shop to unpack her lunch. That introverted girl is indeed more comfortable eating alone in a shop than in a crowded cafe or restaurant.

Kei took a deep breath, she remembered her masquerade ball when she was in high school. To be honest, Kei knew that the man was Jake. Kei knew this from the start of entering college when she saw the mask the man was wearing at the party.

Until now Kei pretended not to know because she hoped Jake would confess to her by himself. But it seemed that the man didn't have any feelings for her because he kept silent and let Kei continue to wait.

Kei smiled sadly while spooning rice into her mouth. The girl's simple provisions only contain rice, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, and boiled broccoli. It's not fancy food at all even though Kei has a maid at her house who can cook luxury food for her.
