Chapter 5

Laughter came from every corner, and my ears kept ringing. My eyes were also blinded by all the camera flashes. However, I continued standing on the stage without budging.

Cole said he would come, and I wanted to believe him.

When the Sinclair brothers saw how stubborn I was and how I refused to leave the stage, they stopped taunting me and looked grim.

"Do you think we're joking, Paige?"

"It's no use refusing to come down. Security, drag that scheming woman off the stage and throw her out."

The security dragged me off while the brothers gently held Nancy's hand as they walked up the stage.

While I was struggling, my wig got thrown to the floor.

The brothers spoke up with contempt when they saw my bald head.

"Look, everyone. This scheming woman shaved her head just to get on our good side. How disgusting is that?"
