Elena POV

My name is Elena Lancaster. I married the man who destroyed my family. There, I said it.

Six years ago, Lucian Black came for my family with an army, he crossed into our territory before dawn, and by sunset, the Lancaster name meant nothing. He killed my parents, the Alpha and Luna of our pack, and my brother, Julian, disappeared. For six years, I believed he was dead until I learned that he was alive

I hated Lucian Black and everything he had done to us, and I dreamed of making Lucian pay and reuniting with my brother, but I never imagined I would have to marry him to achieve that.

I had been born without a wolf, but I had never considered myself weak. My pack had. They had whispered about it behind my back when I was growing up, but I learned early not to care.

...

The gunshot echoed through the ballroom. I froze. For one horrible second, nobody moved, and then screaming started and chaos broke out. Women stumbled away from the dining tables and glass shattered across the marble floor. A man knocked over a server, and he came tumbling to the floor, champagne flutes covering them. People were rushing to the exit but I stood frozen, unable to move. My eyes were fixed on the man standing at the other end of the ballroom.

Lucian Black.

He was dressed in a black suit, his expression was calm as the body of an Alpha lay bleeding at his feet. The men around him didn't flinch. Everyone always knew. We just did. Lucian looked at the dead Alpha for another second, his expression cold enough to make my blood run colder. Then he lifted his eyes and those obnoxious onyx eyes locked with mine, drilling holes holes into my body, and my heart stopped.

No, no, no. Not tonight. His eyes held mine as he walked toward me. His steps were soft and soundless, as if he wasn't taller and broader than everyone in the room. He could hear the pounding of my heart, and it pleased him. Everything quietened as soon as he moved, the screaming and chaos died down. People moved out of his way before he even reached them. I breathed through my nose, forcing my heart to be calm. He was getting closer. I inwardly counted his steps.

Five steps. Four. Three. Two ... One.

My pulse hammered against my throat as he stopped in front of me, looking down at me. He didn't speak. I felt smaller standing like this with him, and my neck hurt from cranking it up.

Leather, and warm amber. Lucian always smelled like leather and warm amber, with a faint trace of vanilla. I loathed his scent.

He was even more intimidating than I remembered. He stood so close there was no space between us.

“You came,” he breathed, almost relieved. As if he'd been hoping I would. But here it was the thing was, when Lucian invited you somewhere, there was no refusing. Especially for me.

“Your invitation wasn’t exactly optional.” I bit out. Something flickered in his eyes. Amusement? No. It was sinister. His gaze moved over my face before settling on my eyes again.

“I don't like your attitude towards me. You should change it.” he said it like my disdain was a nuisance to him.

“Maybe it's because I hate you. Have you thought of that before?” I barked disdainfully, gritting my teeth, voice controlled. The crowd around us erupted in gasps and whispers, tsking sounds were being made. The amusement disappeared from Lucian's eyes. I was truly trying his patience. Lucian leaned closer than he already was. His scent was choking me.

“You should be careful, dear.” His voice dropped, almost a warning. His hot breath touched my skin, and goosebumps appeared on my arms. I hated that word, Dear. He said it as if I belonged to him already. I pulled back and glared at him.

“Don’t call me that.” I snapped, bubbling with a deplorable sensation.

“Why?” the corner of his mouth lifted.

“Because I hate it.”

"I’ll keep using it.” his smirk widened and my breath shuddered. My fist clenched at my side as I took deep breath.

“Anyway, tonight, I have decided what I’m going to do with you.” He says, changing the subject. my stomach dropped to the marble floor at what he said.

“And what have you decided to do?" I tried my best not to sound nervous even though I was a wreck inside.

He held my gaze butI didn't avert my gaze, I would never bow to him, ever. The Alpha reached into his jacket and pulled out a folded piece of paper, placing it in my hand. I looked down, and my blood ran cold. It was the Lancaster estate deed. My family’s estate. The home Lucian had taken from me. The home I hadn’t been allowed to enter in six years.

I glared at him with eyes that burned with rage.

“Why are you giving me this?” my voice trembled slightly. Lucian’s expression was unreadable.

“I’m not.”

He leaned toward my ear and his voice dropped an octave “I’m giving you until midnight to decide whether you want to become my wife.”

My breath caught. I stared at him, but he was already walking away, his shoes splattered with the blood of the Alpha he had just killed. I looked down at the deed again. My hands were trembling.

Years of wanting to enter the estate, and years searching for Julian, now Lucian Black had placed both within my reach. All I had to do was marry him. I swallowed hard.

Marry the man who destroyed my family… or lose Julian forever.

  • Marrying The Alpha Who Ruined Me   Hate and Hurt

Elena’s POV I woke before Lucian did. For a few minutes, I stared at the ceiling, thinking back to what happened last night. I gave myself away to him, willingly, and enjoyed it. I fucking enjoyed it. I moved with him and gripped him, trailing my fingers all over his skin, marking and biting him. I was a traitor, a traitor to my family and myself. I turned my head and looked at him. Lucian was sleeping peacefully beside me, his breathing slow and even. Even unconscious, there was something intimidating about him. He was beautifully masculine, which made it difficult to look away. A faint stubble darkened his sharply defined jaw, making him look rougher somehow. He looked like ... like a god. A very handsome dangerous god. The sight of him made my insides burn but the thoughts lasted only a few seconds when I remebered all he did How could he sleep so peacefully after ruining my life?I slipped out of bed, and grabbed the dagger I kept in my bag, and returned to his side. Slow

  • Marrying The Alpha Who Ruined Me   His Wife

Elena’s POVLucian stopped directly in front of me. He had a dark, hooded look in his eyes and I started to panic. “W-what are you doing in my room?” I asked, my voice trembling despite my attempt to keep it steady. He didn’t answer immediately. Instead, that infuriating gaze traveled over me, slow and shameless.“You’re my wife now, dear.” His voice was calm, almost casual. “I’m here to consummate this marriage.”My stomach coiled. I had known this was coming. I had walked into this marriage knowing exactly what Lucian would expect of me. My fingers curled at my sides as I forced myself to hold his gaze.I wasn’t going to let him see me afraid. This was part of the plan. I needed to get close to Lucian Black. He had to trust me in order to have access to everything. If that meant playing the obedient wife for a little while, so be it.I swallowed thickly, and I nodded. All for my brother. Lucian took another step toward me and my breath caught. His hand lifted slowly, giving me plen

  • Marrying The Alpha Who Ruined Me   Alphas Of Blackridge

Elena’s POV“He’s a prisoner?" My blood ran cold as I stared at Lucian, waiting for him to explain. But he didn’t. Instead, that infuriating little smile appeared on his face.“What happened to him?”Lucian glanced over my shoulder. “The introductions can't wait.”"What?” I blinked. He walked past me as though the conversation was over. Apparently, it was. And I wasn’t going to convince him otherwise. Still, I felt some relief now that I knew who had Julian.“Come, dear.”I turned around. “Lucian.”He didn’t stop walking. “Lucian!” I screamed and he finally looked back at me. I narrowed my eyes, if my eyes could shoot blasts, he'd be dead. “Come along.” He insisted. Son of a gun.I followed him to the inner grounds where the alphas were still waiting. Nobody had moved very far from where Lucian had left them, and the ground was covered in blood. Now I was expected to stand beside the man who had killed an alpha as if nothing had happened.Lucian's arm wrapped around my waist, pull

  • Marrying The Alpha Who Ruined Me   He’s A Prisoner

Elena’s POVI didn’t sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, I felt his mouth against mine. It was ridiculous, worse than ridiculous. I had walked into the Lancaster house knowing exactly who he was.A conqueror, and a dangerous murderer. The man who had destroyed my family. Yet somehow, the thing keeping me awake wasn’t the thought of what he had done. I was fucking fucked sideways. The memory of how he had kissed me kept replaying in my head. I should have slapped him across his face and run to exfoliate my mouth with soap! There was a knock on the door, and I turned my head towards it.“Mrs. Black?” I stared at the woman standing outside. It took me a second to realize she was talking to me. That name, regarding me, sounded so wrong to my very being. “Elena, please.” She smiled sheepishly, a flush on her cheeks. She was cute. "Oh, I can't call you that." She said, her voice raspy, not looking at me. I stretched my limbs and sat up, looking at the servant with rosy cheeks and short

  • Marrying The Alpha Who Ruined Me   The Lancaster Estate

Elena’s POVRain followed us all the way to the Lancaster estate. The house was perched on a hill at the edge of the land, where one could see the whole territory. My car slowed as the old iron gates came into view, and my hands tightened around the steering wheel.I hadn’t been here in six years, but I recognized everything as if I hadn't left. The long driveway disappeared beneath the trees.Even the old tree at the entrance where we had picnics. Nothing had changed. My uncle Lenin taught me how to ride a bicycle in this very driveway. That day, I fell, and my tooth came out, at least I received a 50-dollar bill because Lenin was overcome with guilt. Tears were starting to build in my eyes, but I blinked them away. Loretta glanced at me from the passenger seat.“You can still turn around.” She murmured, she was nervous. I had begged her not to come, but she insisted.“I don't deserve you, Etta,” I bristled.“I feel like I've failed. You're marrying the man who destroyed your fa

  • Marrying The Alpha Who Ruined Me   He Wants Me To Marry Him

Elena’s POVMy best friend, Loretta, found me sitting at the kitchen table of the small apartment I had been renting on the outskirts of Blackridge. Blackridge was a beautiful city, all tall glass buildings, rain, and endless green forests with so many different packs. The Lancaster estate was less than thirty minutes away. Thirty minutes, however, I hadn’t stepped inside my own pack. It was now renamed the StormCrest pack, like the rest of Lucian's packs that he had conquered.Rain tapped against the window beside me as I stared at the deed Lucian Black had placed in my hands. My family’s name was printed across the top. Lancaster. I hadn't seen this document in a long time, not since Lucian’s warriors had dragged me out of our home and replaced the Lancaster crest above the gates with his. I still remembered standing outside those gates with nowhere to go.My family was dead, and my only brother was missing. I had nothing but the clothes I was wearing and now, six years later, he
