Chapter 92 Probably My Good Looks

Author: Rosie Steppe
Ken Jameson was on a call when Rosalyn got out of the taxi, his thin ponytail dangling over his nape, while his ear piercings glinted under the reflection of the glass.

When he saw Rosalyn, he beckoned for her to go inside.

Ken was a major tabloid journalist, and nine out of ten phone calls he received were absolutely dangerous.

That was why Rosalyn went to the nearby convenience store to buy a couple bottles of soda, and she only went in after he hung up.

Still, Rosalyn had first met him because she needed dirt on someone, but soon after, the whole thing was exposed, and Ken was sanctioned.

Still, that was perfectly normal for Ken.

As for Rosalyn, she was a client who paid for the information, and the rest was none of her business.

However, Rosalyn knew about this and asked Carl to bail Ken out—and in his long career, it was the first time anyone had ever stuck their neck out for him.

Since then, he treated her like a sister and they would occasionally hang out, and he was ba

Zac's online sweetheart? Was Wendy talking about Rosalyn?Rosalyn's heart sank with guilt.A large hand landed gently on her back, helping her catch her breath. Eric's unhurried voice followed. "Wendy, with all this food on the table, can't you just shut up and eat?""Am I wrong though?" Wendy replied without missing a beat.Wendy looked like she'd stepped out of a high-end editorial spread, but the way she ate was anything but delicate. She was completely down-to-earth."Rosalyn, do you even remember what WhatsApp looks like?" Wendy suddenly asked while glancing at Rosalyn. "My husband, your husband's brother, spent over ten years glued to WhatsApp, all because of some girl he adored online."Rosalyn's face flushed as she coughed again. Her fingers tightened on the edge of the table, and the hand on her back made her entire spine tingle uncomfortably. She'd thought that whole thing was their secret, but everybody knew now."I refuse to fight anyone over a man," Wendy declare

  • Marrying Without You   Chapter 156 A Sensible Wife

A woman with a slim waist was leaning against the windowsill with her back to the door. The purple leggings made her legs and hips look impossibly perfect. With her red lips and ultra-short haircut, she had a bold, striking look that was hard to ignore.Eric, who stood beside her, still exuded that effortless, lazy charm. They weren't touching, and there were no intimate gestures at all, but somehow, the two of them looked unexpectedly good together. They must've been talking about something amusing, because the woman was laughing. Her voice was pleasant.Only then did Rosalyn realize she'd just barged in, when she should've knocked. She'd gotten used to pushing the door open these past two days, and apparently, her awareness lagged behind her habits.Should she step in or back out? While she hesitated, both people by the window must've sensed movement, and they turned around at the same time. Neither of them looked awkward, and the woman even flashed Rosalyn a bright smile. "We

[Best Husband of the Century, Eric Hammond, Hurt in the Name of Love!]The headline went viral. The whole Gingham family became the media's new punching bag, facing legal punishment and public humiliation at the same time.Ophelia, an expert in gossip, naturally saw it the moment it hit the internet and headed straight for the hospital."With an injury this minor? Even if you didn't bandage it, it'd heal on its own. And you're still lying here, making Rosalyn wait on you?" Ophelia glanced at Eric's bandaged wound and spoke with no mercy.Rosalyn stood off to the side, quietly watching Eric get roasted with no chance to defend himself. Karma was real. Finally, someone managed to shut him up.It was even clearer where he'd inherited that sharp tongue from. Ophelia was the original, unfiltered edition."Don't mind him, Rosalyn. He's just making it seem like a big deal. I have no idea how the Hammond family ended up with someone like him. Even his wife gets dragged down by him."Oph

"Good morning, Rosalyn!"Rosalyn opened the door and came face-to-face with Sean, who was about to walk in."Morning." She glanced at the food containers in his hands and instantly understood everything.Whatever Eric wanted to eat, he always found a way to get it. Even if she didn't make it for him, he'd still get it delivered. Clearly, he'd teased her earlier on purpose."Breakfast for the both of you. Special order," Sean said with a flattering grin. He'd received Eric's breakfast list first thing in the morning. If Eric hadn't been injured, and if his wife weren't mad at him, Sean would've pretended he never saw it."I'm not hungry. You can bring it in," Rosalyn said. She wasn't planning on eating and honestly felt a little too embarrassed to eat it.Eric had gotten hurt because of her, but she took his bed and still gave him attitude. Realizing all of this after the fact, she felt she'd gone too far.It wasn't that she refused to give him what he wanted—it was that his bre

It was late at night, and Rosalyn, who hadn't had insomnia in a long time, found herself staring blankly at the night sky.Beside her, Eric was fast asleep. He had turned onto his side, facing her. His handsome face was slightly squished against the pillow, but it still didn't take away from how good-looking he was.Moments with him flashed through her mind. These were scenes she never tried to memorize, yet they felt burned into her memory. Some things slipped in even when she tried to fight them, and those were exactly the things she shouldn't let in.The thought made sleep even further from reach. Restless, she quietly got out of bed, stepped into the hallway, and leaned against the wall under the bright overhead light.Eventually, she pulled out her phone and texted Ken.[Are you awake?]He replied instantly.[Yeah][Any progress?][A little.][???][Are you in a hurry?][The sooner, the better.][Got it.]She typed 'sorry for the trouble,' but before she could hit s

"Eric!"The surrounding old folks's panicked screams made Rosalyn shudder. She wanted to look up, but someone was holding her head down. She grabbed Eric by his sleeve. "Eric—""He's bleeding. Call the ambulance!" Rosalyn's heart clenched when she heard someone yelling in the crowd. She struggled to lift her head from his arms, but Eric wouldn't let her. "I'm fine. Don't look."He didn't want her to see the blood.Just like the time Carl crashed in front of her and Eric covered her eyes, now that he was the one bleeding, he shielded her even more. Her worst memories all had to do with blood. The person who swung the object was David's daughter. She'd meant to hit Rosalyn, but Eric had stepped in and taken the blow instead. The nursing home's doctor rushed over and immediately treated Eric's wound, while David called the police on the spot and turned in all his children without hesitation. But none of that changed the fact that Eric's head had been struck and was still bleedin
