CARA'S POV

"Let's give us a second shot at this!" Kyle, my fiancee's relaxing voice, pierced through my ears at the end of the phone.

"Please, Kyle, let's do this for our unborn child!" I responded swiftly, with my trembling voice.

While I put my left hand on my protruding belly, trying to feel the movement of the baby inside me.

"Come to Delux Hotel, 4th floor, room 205," he uttered sternly, his voice mixed with slight calmness and concern, leaving my face more glued with excitement than usual.

"I'll be on my way right now!" I responded, my voice low yet firm.

Without hesitation I stood up from the sofa of my room, took my small Gucci bag, matching it with my cream-colored short gown, and my black shoes, ready to step on the road.

"Baby, I need to make this day work out for us!" I whispered inwardly to myself. "I need to bring Daddy back home." I said in a low voice to the unborn child inside me; it was as if she could hear me. My face was etched with worries as I walked out through the door of my house.

As I sat down at the back of the cab, my mind never stopped reeling on the things that have been happening since I got pregnant. Kyle and I have been feeding on daily arguments, arguments I couldn't even explain to myself or inform Lord Max, my father, about. I've been trying to reach him, and now he called me by himself.

"Go easy, driver!" I snapped. "Don't harm my baby." I growled at the aged driver for unknowingly driving through a bump, having seen that I held on my big belly a pregnancy. Now 7 months this month.

"Sorry, ma'am!" The driver pleaded, his voice barely audible yet firm. Then he headed straight to the destination.

After a few minutes, he stepped on the car brake very fast, and the screeching sound of the car sent a shiver down my spine.

"We are here, ma'am!" He spoke confidently.

I never liked his driving, though, but he got me to the hotel faster than I expected. As I turned, my eyes glanced at the big design of the Delux Hotel flashing back at me.

"Great!" I muttered softly and stepped on the marbled floor of the luxurious hotel, walking slowly towards an elevator. Room 205 is ringing continuously in my head.

As I stood in the elevator, I couldn't lift up the excitement that had gripped my heart like a plague. The old Kyle has finally returned back to me.

When the whole pack rejected my existence as a wolfless girl, the only thing saving me was my father's power as the head of the pack. Kyle accepted me with my stigma, and everything changed. He turned my life around; he made me see that I have a purpose even if I'm wolfless among my being.

"Dong!" The elevator stopped at the 4th floor, and I stepped out, taking a slow walk through the corridor with shoes clinging to the tiled floor, scanning each door's number for room 205.

"Yes, this is it!"

I stopped on my first glance at room 205, but my leg stiffened and my eyes widened in shock as I listened to the loud playing of music coming from his room, the smoke from cigarettes piercing my nose, and the familiar sensitive sound of a female.

"Hmm! Hmm! The moaning continues, "Dig that dick deeper in me!" The familiar voice groans loudly.

At first I amused myself with a quick joke. "I never knew Kyle was a farmer!" I said while I patiently held on to the door handle tightly. But the sound didn't stop.

"I'll fuck you till dawn!" Kyle uttered, his voice audible to my ears; it made my eyes blurry as if I'd faint. Confirming my suspicion that he's definitely inside with a lady or probably watching his usual p**n movies. I caught him several times watching.

But my eyes flashed with anger when I heard the next person speak. "Are you sure your bitch will come?" The same familiar voice questioned Kyle.

"Who could she be? Who is she referring to?" My questions hung in the air as my curiosity heightened.

"She'll definitely come; she's as dumb as an animal." Kyle asserted firmly, his voice laced with malice.

My heart skipped a beat, my hand grabbed the handle harder, and I tried to control my rage and listen to those discussions.

"She isn't worth your attention, I told you!" That voice is coming to life in my ears. "She's useless. I hated her so much ever since Dad made her the best daughter!"

"Yes, I never loved..." Kyle's words were cut through by my sudden entrance, jolting the two on top of each other.

"Layla!" I screamed at the top of my voice as I stormed into the dimly lit room filled with smoke from cigarettes.

"Talk of the devil!" Layla mumbled, and Kyle quickly pushed her to the side of the bed.

"You are fucking fucking my husband!" I growled at her, my eye blazing fury at the horrible nakedness before me.

The scene before me is uncalled for; Layla and Kyle seemed not startled by my unexpected entrance, their eyes fixed on themselves like a shameless duo.

"Get a hold of yourself, bitch!" Layla's words struck me in the heart.

"Layla, how could you do this to me, your sister? I confided in you," I asked, as if there could be any humanity left in her.

"Yes, you," she spoke nonchalantly. "Who the hell are you in my life?" She felt no remorse for what she did; she walks around the room with only her red pants. I observed the way she moves confidently from the giant bed to the couch.

"Kyle, you having an intercourse with my sister?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "Tell me this isn't happening, please, Kyle." At that moment there were tears already gathering in my eyes; I find it difficult to breathe in and out because of my pregnancy.

"Why couldn't you call me when you got here?" Kyle's question hung in the smoky air of the room: "Courtesy demands it, you know!" He growled at me. "Anyways, you've seen it all; I never loved you; it was all to get your father's recognition!" He dropped the bombshell.

His words rendered me powerless and useless before the duo. "No, no, no, it can't be!" I said, my voice laced with fear.

"She doesn't have all it takes to understand privacy." Layla's words cut through. "Daddy's pet, he loves me, not you. All good things weren't made for only you!"

I ignored her words and turned my pale face to Kyle standing by the window. "Kyle, think of our baby," I tried emotional pinning down on him. "Think of the marriage that's happening tomorrow!" I added it to make it relatable.

"What child? What marriage?" Layla asked rhetorically. "That thing in your stomach isn't his to cater for, and if there were to be a wedding, it would be ours and not yours."

My eyes widened in shock; tears began to stream down my face. "You are so shameless, Layla. Wait till I tell Dad!" I summoned my courage.

"Oh, that? My mother is taking care of that as we speak, and by tomorrow, everything will be a brand new world without you in it." Layla declared sharply and walked awkwardly towards Kyle by the window.

"Kisses, Kyle!" She landed a kiss on his lips. This awakened my rage, not my wolf.

As the only daughter of Lord Max, I couldn't accept defeat even if I'm wolfless. I cleaned my eyes, summoned my courage, and charged at her. "How dare you speak ill about me?" I held her long hair tightly and did not let go, not minding my big belly.

"Let go of her filth!" Kyle jumped in between us, separated me from her, and then she reached for the bottle, broke it on my soft-skinned head, and both of them pushed me out of the window.

The wind pierced through both my ears, blowing away my tears as I fell down very fast. "If there is any moon goddess around, please save me, and I'll serve you till I die!" I uttered sharply. But there was no moon goddess, no firefighter below me.

As I kept on falling very fast from the hotel building, my mind reeled on the good moments I had with Kyle before he betrayed me, the promises, and the plans to welcome my baby to this cruel world. The clothes I've bought for her at the Maybach stores—I kept a special one beside my bed shelf.

But now I lost all hope even though I don't want to die, and I don't want my baby to die. I was left with no choice but to accept my fate as I closed my eyes and allowed darkness to envelop me, and then everything went blank.

LAYLA'S POV “Mom,” I said cautiously, my voice barely above a whisper, “you once told me about a Luna who was reborn into another body.”She froze for a moment, her gaze drifting to some distant memory, her fingers idly tracing the edge of the table. “Yes… it’s true,” she finally said, her voice soft but heavy with meaning. “But that was many, many years ago. Why… why are you bringing this up now?”I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry as if my words would choke me before they left my lips. “It’s… it’s Maya,” I said, my voice faltering. “She… she woke up today. And she insists she’s been away all this time… that Cara—Cara has been living in her body.”For a moment, my mother simply stared at me, eyes wide, as if trying to make sense of the impossible. Her hands trembled slightly, and I noticed the faint lines on her face deepen. “Are you… certain?” she asked finally, her voice barely steady, like she was afraid to hear the answer.I nodded, unable to speak. The room felt suddenly

CARA'S POV I slowly blinked, my eyes heavy, my vision still hazy as I tried to make sense of my surroundings. The room felt unfamiliar, colder than I remembered, with shadows stretching across the floor and the faint hum of some unseen device in the corner. My body felt sluggish, every muscle weighted as if I had been asleep for days.As my vision cleared, I realized I wasn’t alone. Alpha Dane stood a few feet away, his usual commanding presence softened by uncertainty. His brows were furrowed, and his eyes flicked between me and the stranger who stood beside him—a man I had never seen before, his face alight with excitement, almost unnervingly eager. Caleb remained at my side, watchful and calm, though even he seemed tense under the stranger’s gaze.“Where… where am I?” I asked, my voice hoarse, cracking slightly as it left my throat. My pulse quickened, unease flooding every nerve in my body.Dane blinked, clearly taken aback by how quickly I had awakened. “Maya… you’re awake,” he

My throat felt tight, and every instinct in me screamed to protect Maya, yet I couldn’t halt what Dane had ordered. “Aria… Loki…” I said slowly, my voice wavering just enough to convey the seriousness without panicking them. “Mom… she’s being taken to the physician for further tests. They need to make sure she’s okay. That’s all. Everything is under control.”Aria’s small hands gripped my sleeve tightly, her nails pressing into the fabric. “But… why, Dad? Why can’t we stay with her? Why do they have to take her away?” Her voice cracked at the edges, the fear spilling th

LUCIAN'S POV I stormed into the study, my boots echoing against the polished wooden floor. The air felt thick with authority and anger as my gaze locked onto Dane. He looked up from his papers, startled for just a heartbeat before regaining his usual smug composure.“I think it’s high time you let go of my mate,” I growled, my voice low and dangerous, letting each word hang heavy in the room. I stepped forward, my fists clenched at my sides, heart pounding with a mix of fury and protectiveness. “This time, it’s over.”Dane leaned back in his chair, one eyebrow arched, his smirk almost infuriating. “How dare you command me to leave Maya for you,” he said coldly. “Do you really think you can just waltz in and take what belongs to me?”My chest tightened, a rush of heat and adrenaline making my blood pound in my ears. “What belongs to you?” I spat, my words sharp and unforgiving. “She’s not yours, Dane.
