SIERRA

I sat on my bed looking at Zane with a frozen expression on my face. First, I wasn't expecting him to drop by and secondly, I hadn't thought about it yet.

He moved closer, "Did you hear what I asked?" He asked coming closer to me.

I nodded as a hiccup escaped me.

"Are you alright?" He asked staring at me with a puzzled expression on his face.

"I'm fine," I replied, turning away from him so he couldn't see my facial expression.

My mind wandered to what had happened before the rogue attack, Zane fighting Kane because he had pissed me off, and Kane telling me that he couldn't trust me because I was hiding something from him.

I had thought we were heading somewhere, I had thought that perhaps we had a chance but I was wrong, it was way too risky, I had caused a lot of trouble because of my involvement with the boys, they had argued and fought just because of me.

I still couldn't forget the incident that happened between Kane and me in the library, Zane and Dane weren't that bad,

SIERRA“What do you mean you can’t stop Ariel?” I snapped, stepping forward. “You’re the Moon Goddess! Isn’t that your whole thing, protecting balance? Guiding us? Stopping evil?”The glow around her flickered slightly, but her calm face didn’t change.“I understand you’re angry,” she said gently.“Angry?” I scoffed, my hands curling into fists. “No, I’m not angry. I’m furious! My best friend is gone. I’m losing control of my powers. Ariel is probably out there planning her next move, and the one person who’s supposed to help us just stands here glowing and doing nothing.”“I’m trying, Sierra,” she said softly.“Well, it’s not enough!” I shouted. “You said it yourself, Ariel wants to destroy everything. If you really cared, you’d do something about it!”“I would, if I could,” she said, her voice cracking just a little. “But I’m not at my full strength. I haven’t been for a long time.”I stared at her, stunned. “So… you’re weak?”“I’m not what I once was,” she admitted. “I’ve tried eve

SIERRA“Okay,” I finally whispered, wiping my eyes with the back of my hand. My cheeks were still wet, and my throat ached from all the crying. I took a deep breath, trying to push everything down, at least for now. “Let’s go into town.”Lila turned to look at me slowly. Her eyes were full of concern, like she wasn’t sure if I really meant it. “Are you sure?” she asked gently.I nodded, even though I still felt shaky inside. “Yeah. Sitting here, crying all day… it won’t change anything. We need answers. We need to find out what’s really going on.”Lila let out a loud sigh of relief, like she had been holding her breath the whole time. “Thank goodness,” she said. “I thought you were going to cry all day.”I gave a weak smile, barely lifting the corners of my lips. “I almost did,” I admitted quietly. “Honestly, I still feel like crying. But I can’t just stay stuck like this.”“I get it,” she said, moving to stand beside me. “You’ve been through a lot. More than most people could even ha

MAYAI paced across the room, heart pounding so loud I could barely hear the voices around me.We had been arguing, again. About the veil. About destiny. About Sierra. About what she should or shouldn't be.The boys raised their voices. The room was tense. And the Moon Goddess stood still, her light dimming. She hadn’t said a word in minutes.Something felt wrong. My steps slowed.I looked up at her. Her silver eyes weren’t glowing anymore. Just watching me… almost sad.Her lips parted. She whispered, so soft I almost thought I imagined it:“I’m sorry.”Then, she vanished.Vanished. Like mist breaking apart under sunlight.Gone.A cold wind ran down my back.I spun around quickly. My eyes darted to the corner of the room where Sierra had stood only a moment ago.But it was empty.Empty.“Sierra?” I called. My voice cracked. No answer. My chest tightened as panic rose in my throat. I stepped further into the room.“Sierra?! Where are you?”Still nothing. That’s when the screaming start

SIERRAMy breath caught in my chest the moment I saw them.A pack of rogues, dozens of them, stepped out of the mist. Huge werewolves, their bodies rippling with muscle, claws digging into the soft, glowing earth. Their sharp teeth gleamed under the faint light of the veil. Their eyes, some yellow, some red, were locked on me and Lila. They circled us slowly, like we were prey. They didn’t bark. They didn’t growl. They just watched.Waiting.I couldn’t move.I couldn’t even breathe properly. The air was thick. My legs felt like they were stuck in place.“Lila….get down,” I whispered, not taking my eyes off the wolves.Lila quickly ducked behind a mossy rock, her small hands gripping its edge.“You can’t fight them alone, Sierra,” she said. “There’s too many.”“I have to try,” I said, even though my voice shook. “I won’t let them touch you.”She didn’t answer, but I could feel her eyes on me. Watching. Worrying.I stood tall, or at least I tried to.I raised my hands in front of me, pa

LILAI sat on the edge of the room, swinging my legs slowly. My eyes stayed on Sierra the whole time. But now… she was gone.My heart started racing. I looked around. Mom was yelling. The Moon Goddess stood tall in the center of the room. Kane and Dane were arguing again. Everyone was talking at the same time, loud, angry, scared. But no one saw what I saw.Sierra wasn’t there anymore.“Mom,” I whispered, tugging at her sleeve. She didn’t even look down. “Not now, Lila.”I tugged harder. “Mom. Sierra’s gone.”She swatted my hand off gently. “She’s probably just in the hallway, Lila. Stay quiet.”“But she’s not!” I said louder.Still nothing.I turned to Kane. “Have you seen Sierra?”He barely looked at me. “Not now, Lila.”“Dane?”He rubbed his forehead. “Later, okay?”I stepped back, biting my lip.No one was listening. They were all yelling about the veil, Zane, the packs, destiny, like Sierra wasn’t the one actually doing something. Like she didn’t just disappear right in front of

  • Mated To My Lycan Stepbrothers   Chapter 441

SIERRAI stood in the moonlit clearing, heart pounding so loudly I thought the others could hear it. My hands were cold. The Moon Goddess’s glow had faded, like even she was waiting. Watching.Only the three of us remained, Kane, Dane, and I. We were surrounded by shadows and silence.I took a shaky step forward. “Please,” I said, my voice low but clear. “We need to decide. Now.”Kane clenched his fists. “We did.”His voice was sharp. Cold.He looked at me like a stranger.“We’re done,” he said again. “Done with her hiding behind us. Done with her making all the decisions.”I blinked. “What are you saying?”Dane sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. “Sierra, we said we’d think about it. And we did. But every time we try to understand, she gives us half-truths. More rules. More secrets.”Kane cut in before I could speak. “No more of her calling the shots.”I swallowed, trying to keep my voice calm. “Then what do you want?”Kane stepped forward. “We want her to go in alone.”I froze.
