I blew the bubbles from my bath up in the air, their iridescent shimmer catching the light as I lay there. The warm, comforting aroma of lavender filled the room, soothing my senses. I glanced down at my skin, tracing the faint scars on my hips and thighs with my fingertips, feeling their raised texture against my touch. I don’t know how I got them or the ones on my back … I don’t want to know, but they just show of a time I wish I could erase.
